Love love that an account like @finalgirlsociety exists, focusing on women in horror, both behind and in front of the camera. Thanks for the shout out @finalgirlsociety đđ
Hereâs what my workshops are about: trusting the story that wonât leave you alone, and building the craft to make it land.
I know what it feels like to have an idea other people donât immediately understand - and to keep believing in it anyway. Some of the projects that have mattered most in my career were ideas I had to protect before anyone else fully saw them. That experience shaped how I teach: not by sanding down what makes an idea strange, specific, or alive, but by helping writers build the structure and clarity that allow that idea to reach people.
The shows and films that stay with us are rarely the safest version of an idea. They come from writers with a clear point of view, a real emotional engine, and the craft to turn that spark into something undeniable.
These workshops are designed to help you nurture your creative vision while sharpening your storytelling skills - so you can write from joy and conviction, not fear, and move your pilot, series, or feature forward with clarity and momentum.

â¤ď¸Incredible celebration for two incredible people, celebrating love, resilience, the beauty of community and farting â¤ď¸ @meganhillwhat@bradkrumholz
Iâm so late to posting this, but early this year I had the best time on @mallonerin âs podcast My Job Is To Play (her series spotlighting women in television). We talk industry lessons, my writing work, teaching my TV writing workshops, and the incredible collaborators Iâve been lucky to learn from along the way. Erin is a total powerhouse - amazing writer, VO artist, and genuinely one of the best. đ§ Listen to my episode (and check out more of her episodes/amazing guests) via the link in my bio @darfow
A little while ago, the wonderful @leehavlicek asked me to be part of her Skeleton Key Series - where she interviews artists about one movie, TV show, or piece of photography that shaped them.â¨â¨We talked all about one of my all-time favorites: Charade.â¨
Swipe through for a little snippet from our convo, and check out the my full interview and the Leeâs full Skeleton Key series at the link in my bio @darfow and below:â¨â¨/ *i gush about many movies in it and yes @dyldaws you can predict them all
Photo/video dump 2025. Itâs been a tumultuous year in so many ways, but so many moments of light and joy within it. community & family coming together, holding each other up, @lucywatoosy âs wedding, @breeleevee winning an Emmy, amazing table reads of new, exciting scripts, introducing the best kids to seminal movies, the birth of Dolly, Dyl and Sethâs Craptacular, @befrasered sleeping. Love to everyone. Especially to my Bro, who has been through it this year and come out the other side. So proud of him. Letâs step into 2026 stronger than everâ¤ď¸
A few weeks ago, I got to be part of something really special. A group of insanely talented writers Iâd met during the strike - through writing workshops I was lucky enough to leadâflew me out to New York. At Ensemble Studio Theatre, we spent the weekend doing marathon table reads of their finished TV pilots with the most incredible actors (truly, we had legends in the room). After each reading, weâd dive into these rich, discussionsâswapping thoughts, ideas, and insights. It was mind-blowingly cool to see how far each project had come since it was just a spark of an idea.
Iâm still in awe of these writersâtheir talent, their heart, their vision. I canât believe they chose to take my workshop, to trust me to help support their stories. Getting to witness their work take shape has been such a privilege and such a joy.
Hereâs to all the brilliance still to come. (and here are a bunch of pictures â¤ď¸) p.s. I donât know why the first one is so blurry in this post.
Every Fatherâs Day and Motherâs Day, I think about how to keep my parents closeâhow to honor them in some small way. Most years, itâs quiet, just for me.â¨
But yesterday, I came across this video from the rehearsal dinner at my wedding in 2017. Part of that night was a tribute to them. (Wish I had a recording of your speech, @cperron13 .) Four of my dearest friends @heatherfrobb , @kirschdizzle@jamesesmusic & Raky, sang Warren Zevonâs âKeep Me in Your Heart for a Whileâ in their honor.â¨
It was such a powerful moment. I know my dad wouldâve loved itâprobably wouldâve compared Heather to Joan Baez or something.â¨
Iâm sharing it nowâfor anyone out there carrying absence alongside joy⌠youâre not alone.â¨
And thank you, @lauragalinson (Iâm pretty sure it was you) for capturing this. Also and @earthmagicmeditation and @mersevinart (!!!) omg I was just remembering your amazing speech together and everyone being like - whoa your new sisters are so coolđ and @befrasered that Stella cameo at the end! And of course @cmcwade oh and @rebeccaatwood âs amazing hair! â¤ď¸
Itâs my bday on the east coast. Most of these pictures are of @markhammer and @chiaraatik âs kids, who are perfect AND my best friends and I took them through the âlike a lightbulb!â part of âRudolph the Red Nose Reindeerâ Also, I tried Tom Cruise cake. Also pictured, Clare Barron, Audrey Frischman, Jennifer!
