I never really had a plan Played rugby from the age of 6. Always around sport. But absolutely never the best at it Ahaa šŸ˜‚ Secretly I wanted to be a doctor, but kept that quiet as I knew it wouldn’t happen . Then a physio, which didn’t happen either. Took me a while to realise I was chasing what I thought I should do, not what I actually cared about. I graduated during COVID with a sports science degree and zero options. So I started working for free at Stockport County football club. Everyone wants a pro sport job after that degree But I walked away from it. Because I realised I didn’t want to work with professional athletes. I wanted to work with people. People like Kelly, who wanted to feel amazing on her wedding day. Tom who is now a different bloke to his first day starting me me. Becca, who found a whole new passion she didn’t know she had, and now doing triathlons. And Linda — who is so close to running the London Marathon in memory of her Dad. That’s why I do this. Not because I had some perfect plan. But because this work is genuinely the most inspiring thing I’ve ever done. If you’re a busy professional who keeps stopping and starting with your health, that’s exactly who I built The THRIVE Formula for. Send me dm to get involved

Let me tell you about Becca šŸ‘‡ She came to me off a recommendation from a friend. We had a phone call, we spoke about her lifestyle and how it could be improved. Whilst working full time, and being a top dog mother, she went about making tweaks to how she lived. She found pride in exercise. She found fulfilment in nourishing her body. And she never gave up, even when potential excuses came her way. It was a pleasure to work with Becca and see her lifestyle go from strength to strength. And now with half marathons and triathlons in sight, she’s going to have unreal memories and achievements ahead šŸŒ…

14kg down in 10 weeks – a phenomenal result for Mark, the 70THRIVE winner! This result was built on the foundations of structured nutrition, a tailored training plan, daily activity targets and consistent lifestyle refinement. It’s proof of what’s possible when you fully commit to change and trust the process with your coach. From day one, Mark went all in – and the results speak for themselves. When you show up, stay accountable, and follow through, you unlock the results you’ve always wanted. Incredible work, Mark. 2025 incoming – let’s take it to new levels!

The Copenhagen Plank increases strength of the adductor muscle group This protects against running knee injuries by creating more stability every time the foot plants in the running stride Which will help you stay on the road, and keep consistent with your mileage Give it a go and follow for more

I have done it Since my first race 2 years ago the goal was sub 70 My last one I was 40 seconds off Today I beat it by 120 seconds I’m not one to take this kind of thing toooo seriously For me it’s a game of monopoly Never like to lose, always love to win, but at the end of the day this is for fun, focus and a pursuit This is what I do to focus on something that doesn’t impact too serious But a great saying I live by We should rephrase the pursuit of happiness to the happiness of pursuit Because when you work towards a goal, and finally achieve it The happiness, self respect and pride follows Anyway, time for a few beers and Paella with my mates to celebrate Bring on the next pursuit

If you don’t have this next to you right now, we have a very simple problem Almost every single process in your body needs water to function. Digestion. Recovery. Focus. Fat loss. And most people are chronically under-drinking without even realising it. When you’re dehydrated you perform worse in the gym, your hunger signals get confused, and your energy crashes, making every other healthy habit ten times harder. It’s the simplest thing you can do. And it makes everything else work better. Get a bottle. Fill it up. Drink it. That’s it.

I hope this finds the person who needs it šŸ‘‡ Because chasing a better reflection can quietly become exhausting. And somewhere along the way, something that should make you feel amazing starts to feel like punishment. Don’t get me wrong, being proud of how you look matters. Genuinely. But I think what your body can do gets massively undervalued in the process. So set a goal that scares you a little. A race. A lift. A challenge you’ve been putting off. Work towards it, one month at a time. You’ll build more self-respect than any mirror can give you. And you’ll actually enjoy getting in shape, instead of just waiting for it to look right.

Another episode you’re going to want to save šŸŽ™ļøšŸ”„ This time I’m joined by the brilliant @danthomas.pt - a fellow coach who has very similar values and coaching methods to myself 🫔 We’ve crossed paths at a few business events now and every time we talk, I’m reminded how rare it is to find someone in this industry who leads with the same values šŸ‘ That fitness should build you up - not grind you down šŸ™Œ That moving well matters more than moving heavy.. That confidence (and pride) is built through capability šŸ“ˆ And that outlasts any transformation that started with a mirror! In this one we go deep on: šŸš€ Why functional training creates shifts that go way beyond the physical āœ… How stepping away from constant dieting is actually the unlock for your next level of performance and strength šŸ¤— The internal changes that happen when you stop training aesthetics and start training like an athlete 75 minutes of gold - no fluff, just real talk between two coaches who’ve seen what actually works long term! If you’ve been grinding away at the same routine, eating the same way, and wondering why nothing’s shifting - this episode might just reframe everything šŸ’Ŗ Link in bio to listen on Spotify or Apple šŸ“² New episode every Thursday šŸ™Œ
