I write so much music on my own, and a lot of it never gets heard, so what the hell! I’m a producer, why not record one and throw it out into the world. So here it is!

When country music meets Disney!
I got to produce a brand new version of “A Whole New World” featuring Jess Moskaluke & Tyler Shaw as part of the 604 Records “Once Upon a Country Song” project.
Two unreal voices. One iconic song. And a whole new vibe.
The goal - to lean into that country/pop feel while trying to keep the magic of the original. Such a fun challenge!

• My 1st artist signing Madeline Merlo released her 1st full length album “Free Soul” which included my 1st two hit songs as a writer/producer in country: “Sinking Like a Stone”, and “Alive”
• My first Top 10 hit as a writer/producer with @jojomasonmusic – It’s All Good, followed by 3 more Top 10s + 2 Top 20s
• Manicdown Music: Top 10 label for radio play - even though I wasn’t a label!
• Played iconic stages: Boots & Hearts, Commodore Ballroom, Calgary Stampede, JRFM Listener Lounge
• fav musical moment: You Are My Sunshine duet with Sadie ❤️
• Sadie in her first music video - “Red Dress” , Jojo Mason
• Met and spent time with my musical hero Gord Downie. 3 hours I will never forget
• Watched another musical hero John Mann’s brave final show while fighting early-onset Alzeimers.
• NYC trip with the wifey.
• Grayson picked up a hockey stick for the first time 🏒
What an incredible year.

It’s been 2 years since we lost you.
I’m still waiting for it to get easier. I’m still waiting to have a day where I don’t think about you a million times. I still feel like you are still with us every time I see a picture of you. I still have to suppress feelings and grief for fear it will consume me. I still feel lonely knowing you aren’t here. I still feel like the world has lost much of it’s colour. I still reach for my phone sometimes to call or text you as a reflex. I still can’t believe you’re gone 💔
I love you Dad.
I miss you.

If I had known it would be this fun putting a song out, I would have done it years ago!
Almost 20,000 streams in the first 2 and a half weeks, but the true rush has been hearing the feedback from so many friends, family, colleagues and complete strangers.
It’s wild! It’s fun! It’s nowhere near my former comfort zone, but shaking things up has always been the healthy jolt that keeps my creative engine running, and the hell with comfort zones anyway.
I’ve had a lot of people ask if I will do another. My answer - if it’s fun, LFG. Please - keep streaming, keep posting, and keep reaching out. Whether you like it or hate it, I love hearing from you.
I wrote and produced the song myself, and I played most of the instruments, but there are some folks that helped contribute to the final product.
The killer guitar solo - played by the legend - Darren Savard. @jaydufour mixed the absolute hell out of the chaos I sent him, as he always does, and @joaocarvalhomastering mastered.

I’m so honoured to have received 3 Canadian Country Music Award nominations - Producer of the Year, Studio of the Year, and Management Company of the Year (as part of The Willing Entertainment Group).
Huge day for the entire @willingrecords Willing Records team, getting nominated for Record Company of the Year. I’m so grateful to be a part of this incredible organization.
Congrats Bobby @bobbywillsmusic , congrats Melisse @melissekelly . So well deserved!
Last but certainly not least, I’m so thrilled for Tony Stevens @tonystevensmusic to have received the nomination for Breakout Artist of the Year. Tony and I have been working together for many, many years - artist development, production, co-writing and now his co-management, and to see all the hard work paying off…. to finally see Tony get the recognition he so deserves, it fills my heart. Amazing artist…..better human. Congrats brother!

What a night at the BCCMA Awards! Whiskey In Colorado won song of the year, we won Songwriter of the year, and @tonystevensmusic grabbed Male Vocalist of the year!
