Tour diary ☕️🚙🌊
Some more silly BTS scenes from my shows opening for @yevagabonds - mostly seems to be @rowanelliottmusic and @dannytryani making weird sounds on and off stage. Love them both so much.
I still feel so wildly grateful to have had the opportunity to take my new music into these spaces with such enormous support, especially ending the third & final night in a huge home crowd at @bristol_beacon with some of my best pals watching our favourite band and pinching myself that I’d been up there myself - if I didn’t have these videos, I probably wouldn’t believe I’d done it. But I did!
p.s. got a very small number of t-shirts up on my Bandcamp if anyone wants to nab the last bit of tour merch!

Once again we had the pleasure to perform at @thejamjar_bristol this time supporting the incredible @soothsayersband who were celebrating the launch of their new album and put on an amazing show. What a fantastic night.
Next we play @the_prince_albert on Sunday 19th Oct. See you there.

✨This week Tryani Collective's bandleader @dannytryani had the huge privilege of attending @mrnickyhart 's week long English Ballad School.
🎵Nick Hart is an acclaimed folk singer from Cambridge, a multi-instrumentalist, and a purveyor of traditional English folk music.
📚 The Ballad School was held at a lovely off grid Farm in Dorset, and a lot was covered. Old English, Middle English, the Child Index, the Round Index, Iambic Pentameter, the Church Modes...
🍑We spent 5 days researching what is a Ballad, and to keep the listener engaged when we perform them. Surrounded by plum, apple and pear trees.
🥑 We also enjoyed delicious meals cooked by the wonderful Ella. Alot of merriment was of course had in the evenings after days of strenuous hard work.
📢 ANNOUNCEMENT: Our @thegallibristol gig is just two days away (TUESDAY EVE)
This will be @harrietrileymusic 's last gig with us 😭😭😭

Fannies meadow 2025
⛺A weekend where the only real work was pitching a tent. Thank you Sarah for putting on a cracker of a festival.
The ground was a canvas, a messy, glorious thing, painted with footprints of dancing, and running, and tripping.
Entranced by the other sets - Roland George Harrad with his daylight fire, Hands of the Heron, a feathered chorus, Claire Vine, a voice like a silver bell in the thick air.
And Rory Mcloud, a wandering melody, Shrub, with their joyful noise, Swamp Puppies, a bluesy howl, and the rest, a whole damn choir of beautiful noise.
We came for the music, and stayed for the feeling, of being a part of something, a temporary family, all gathered together in a field, just being.
🎶Our bandleader @dannytryani had the massive privilege of going over to the Provencial France and studying some of the music that has been one of the biggest influences for Tryani Collective's sound - the polyphonic treasures of Le Pays D'Oc (Occitan region of France)
☀️The classes were given in French and the songs were taught in Occitan. The last slide shows the lyrics - similar to french, but distinctly different.
🙌🏼 Massive thanks to Manu Theron and Damien Toumi from @cie.lamparo
And to @sleevestre from @sansalvador.musique and @lost_collectif for telling me about Lo Cor de Lo Plana.
Please go check out their music, and check out their websites for all the cool stuff they do:

🥁 The drum you see played by Manu and Damien is called a Bendir Drum. The word Pandeiro is a bastardisation of the word Bendir. (Thanks @jake_calvario )
🎨 The concert at the end of the week took place at Espace Van Gogh, in Arles. This was the mental health hospital that Vincent Van Gogh stayed at, after infamously cutting off his own ear.
Thanks to @heatherjohnson2660 for taking the film🎥. And to Nora Mauricacourt from @cie.lamparo for taking the photos. 📸
