My grandma tends to say “llegó la tarde”(something like “the sunset is here”) when talking about aging. You never get older, your sunset is just arriving.
A few years back the sunset for my abuelo came, and going back to visit Tenerife, where they are from, has been hard ever since.
Last November I finally went back after some time and it was strange still. It was both the same and not the same. Everything was very much encapsulated in time, but also just slipping away, slowly. I was both glad and sad to be back.
This a small collection called “Abuelos”. A group of photos I inadvertently started as a way of coping with the incoming sadness and beauty of sunsets you don’t ever want to see.

Often I forget what it is that brought me to this app in the first place, it was about my point of view, my photography, my film camera.
I get clouded with sharing the “latest work” as everyone else does, for the rush of the race. I just want to show you what I am and see, in all their formats.
Where’s the fun if not?
