Tonight was special.
A year ago I walked into @miamiirongym (wearing a Cody Rhodes hat) and asked @sicarionation not for a handout, but simply for a chance to prove myself. A year later, I get to share the ring with him in front of my friends, family, and coaches including Cody himself.
Many years from now when I’m old and grey, I’ll be able to look back at tonight with much fondness.
Thank you to The Everbourne Crew for always supporting me.
To my coaches, for passing down all their knowledge to me with such patience, care, and grace.
To my parents for never doubting the dream, even when many told them they should.
And of course to my opponent tonight, Ricky, for always believing in me and sticking to the promise you gave me the day we met.
