For decades, David and MJ D’Arville built a legacy of excellence, community, and love for the harp. We’re deeply grateful for their vision and honored to carry that legacy forward. Still floating from this experience ✨ Recently, Harp District owners Kristina and Dannel had the incredible opportunity to visit the Camac Harps factory in Mouzeil, France—and it was everything you’d hope it would be and more. From the moment you step inside, you feel the family at the heart of Camac: a deep respect for tradition, an obsessive attention to detail, and a shared dedication to artistry at every stage of the process. Camac’s commitment to thoughtful, intentional manufacturing and long-term craftsmanship was especially inspiring. Every detail reflects care, innovation, and integrity, and watching these instruments come to life—guided by skilled hands and deep expertise—was a powerful reminder of why Camac harps are so special. A heartfelt thank you to Camac President Jakez for spending an incredibly generous four hours with us, sharing the history of Camac, the philosophy behind the work, and exciting plans for the future. Today we are returning to an old Good Beats favorite in the form of a new arrangement! Originally written by Joe Hisaishi for the film “Spirited Away,” the piece “One Summer’s Day” might not be as catchy or upbeat as some of his other pieces, but it certainly pulls at the heartstrings with its touching and gorgeous melody. And while not everyone can relate to that time your parents got turned into pigs and you had to work in a mystical bath house to save them, the music certainly fits the film so well!
