#兩忘詠 公演中──表演裡的兩個篇章：「天真」及「經驗」各有7首全新譜寫的當代樂曲，互相映照和對比，回應詩作「一體兩面」的構想。片中的是「經驗」裡旋律和唱腔較激昂的〈虎〉；而與之對應的，是「天真」裡溫柔安靜的〈羔羊〉，呈現截然不同的氛圍。14首新作，等你前來感受，嘗試尋找兩邊的連結與共鳴。 #SongsOfBeing is now on stage - The work features 14 new contemporary music compositions split between two chapters: “Innocence” and “Experience”. 光影流動，人聲迴盪；《兩忘詠》讓兩百多年前的詩句，照見當下。所謂「天真」與「經驗」，不再只是文字，而是可以步入的場景。這些關於天真、世故與自處的叩問，終將回歸到每個人心中。《兩忘詠》結合當代音樂、合唱、多媒體，帶來場域特定演出。演出於大館兩個截然不同的場地進行，一個是當代風的賽馬會立方，一個是活化古蹟F倉，塑造一體兩面的觀賞體驗。 𝗦𝗼𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗕𝗲𝗶𝗻𝗴 mirrors the 200-year-old poetry with the present. Beneath their stark opposition, these dualities are inherently interdependent - each mirroring and defining the other. Composer #DanielLo, media artist #KeithLam, and choral conductor/musician #SandersLau join forces for the first time to re-envision William Blake's poetry, “Songs of Innocence and of Experience”, “Songs of Being” navigates the dual-faceted structure and aesthetics of Blakes’ poetry. Moving through two distinct venues at Tai Kwun, the audience experiences contrasting states of humanity: the purity of "Innocence" versus the shadowed reality of "Experience". Composer Daniel Ting-cheung Lo is a leading voice in Hong Kong’s contemporary music scene. His work spans a wide array of musical genres, encompassing musical theatres, orchestral works, and sound installations. In recognition of his talent, he was honored with the Hong Kong Arts Development “Award for Young Artist (Music)” in 2023. Lo's orchestral pieces have garnered international acclaim, being performed at renowned venues like Het Concertgebouw (Netherlands), Esplanade (Singapore) or Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall (Japan). His works have been featured in various prestigious festivals, such as the Festival International de Piano La Roque d’Anthéron in France, Tongyeong International Music Festival in Korea, and the Hong Kong Arts Festival. Recent projects have seen Lo delve into the integration of music with contemporary literature. Notable compositions include the music theatre “Pressed for Love” and the chamber opera “Women Like Us”. Beyond his achievements as a composer, he is also an educator at the University of Hong Kong and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.
