IATSE members vote YES on strike authorization.
Everyone else please don’t misunderstand us. Most crew members love what they do or did at one time. This industry has broken many people and has been for a long time. It’s time for change before it gets worse.
Our demands will allow for us to have a life outside of work. For not only our loved ones but for friends and community as well.
We need safe sets/working conditions.
We need rest and a reasonable turn around.
We need shorter days. No more 12+ hour days.
We need meal breaks.
We need a full weekend.
We need to make a living wage to afford to live where we work.
We need our healthcare qualification hours not to increase so we can continue to receive the care we need.
So many give blood, sweat, and tears to these media giants over and over again for their whole career. What we are asking for is 100% fair.
