One of the beautiful things about pursuing a career as a makeup artist in the fashion industry are the friendships that form along the way. Each job is a different group of people in a fast-paced, high-intensity setting and, as such, you wind up creating an incredible network of relationships.
I met
@sophietheallet two decades ago through our mutual friend
@veronicawebb , who knew Sophie from her days as Azzedine Alaia’s assistant. I would sit with them on-set and off, just enamored of their shared stories together. The two of them were at the center of one of fashion’s most incredible eras (at a time that I fell in love with fashion myself). From that friendship came our creative collaborations together like Sophie’s campaign shoots with legendary Italian photographer
@tizianomagni and Veronica at the center of them. Eventually it all became a family affair!
