If you’ve been following along and have gotten to know me, you’d know that I have a huge love for single source lighting — so when @omar.apollo took the stage and had an orange radial gradient light, I was thrilled to be just a few feet away with a camera in my hand.
I also wanted to experiment with dropping my shutter to allow minimal yet organic motion blur — I think it worked out well 😅

I waited over one hour to have the @iamjonsi exhibit to myself at the @nordicmuseum and it only took 50+ attempts with my camera to get the right lighting and focus for this shot 🥲
This was an experience unlike any other where you step into a room equipped with 36 speakers playing ambient and harmonious music by @iamjonsi , a 75ft LED screen, and an immense amount of fog — all triggering your senses of smell, hearing, and eyesight. I could’ve spent my whole day here and I’m definitely going back. Who’s with me? 🚶🏾♂️

This is probably my favorite photo from 2022 and it was my last show gig before the year closed out.
What seems like a composite or double exposure was truly just a very underexposed photo with dramatic, single source red ambient lighting and I had the framing just right to allow room for the scale of his body and the overhead LED screen.
I really love doing this shit 🫶🏾

There was a point where I was taking over a day to deliver concert photos.
And after shooting a full show, the last thing I wanted to do was sit there for hours going through everything.

imposter syndrome + creative burnout = 5 months late 2025 recap, so here you go 🤭
while I took a small step back on shooting shows in 2025, I really got into my bag of being a content creator (and feeling confident about it), trying to build this academy up to a great place (shoutout to the team), and helping give opportunities out to people in the community, especially those who haven’t shot shows before
2026 has already been a whirlwind and I’m realizing for the 82627228 time that I really just can’t do it all alone
an African proverb that lives rent free in my head says, “if you want to go fast, go alone, if you want to go far, go together”
so my goal this year is to:
- post more and be more open an honest
- share more of who I am outside of the creative stuff
- stop being such a bottle neck and work with others more frequently so we can grow together even more, because if I eat — we all eat 🤝🏾
