Daniel Kroh entwickelt Maßanfertigungen und eigene Prêt-à-Porter-Kollektionen aus
ausrangierter Arbeitskleidung. Er zeigt seine Recyclingobjekte in ausgewählten Galerien, Kunsthäusern und PopUpCycling-Stores. Gemeinsam mit ihm wollen wir über die Rolle von Upcycling sprechen und herausfinden was diese Methode vor dem Hintergrund von Ressourcenknappheit bewirken kann.

DANIEL KROH, a trained men’s tailor and fashion designer, has been developing new fashion from recycled workwear since 2006.
DANIEL KROH is a fixture in the international fashion industry among fashion designers who focus on ecologically sound production cycles and circular economies. In addition to custom-made pieces and his own ready-to-wear collections, KROH works for theaters and exhibits his recycled objects in select galleries and art venues.

Once upon a time, long, long ago, I stood in front of some huge containers. When I opened the heavy doors, mountains of discarded workwear @cwsworkwear tumbled out. That was the beginning of it all. Since then, this material has taken me on many adventures. PopUpCycling is the next one. Looking forward and everything that’s yet to come.

🎥✨Gestern hatten wir das Vergnügen, Senatorin Bonde, Berlins Umweltsenatorin, und die Presse im Reuse Superstore Bikini Berlin willkommen zu heißen!
🗞️ Der Besuch wurde auch in der Berliner Zeitung (Print & Online), in der Pressemitteilung der Stadt Berlin sowie in der RBB Abendschau veröffentlicht.
Wir führten sie durch den gesamten Laden, erklärten unser Konzept und stellten jeden der Upcycling-Designerinnen und Labels unseres Kollektivs vor. Alle präsentierten ihre Marke und ein Lieblingsstück – ein schönes Beispiel dafür, wie Kreativität und Nachhaltigkeit in unserem Space zusammenkommen. ♻️💚
Der Besuch hat die Bedeutung unabhängiger Initiativen und gemeinschaftlich getragener Projekte hervorgehoben, die zu einer zirkulären und verantwortungsvollen Modezukunft beitragen.

WALKING CHAIR DESIGN STUDIO (founded in 2003 in Vienna by Fidel Peugeot & Karl Emilio Pircher) is a versatile design studio that addresses the needs of our time and the future. We invent, develop, and design things that we ourselves use.
Since 2021, we have been working for the world from the Waldviertel and South Tyrol.
Our credo and our work have been presented in various exhibitions worldwide and published in the publication YOU DO DESIGN YOU - WE DO DESIGN YOU, Metroverlag Vienna, 2011.
We say: “Design follows content” and “Good design moves, good design needs publicity, good design creates a mood...”
