My thoughts on the importance of centering justice, race and the differences in bodies of the global majority, the remnants of colonization and how this lives in the body.
I am not here to placate the algorithm, nor do I feel that nuances, grounded thoughts can be translated in short bits and I won't allow the algorithm or what I should do dictate how I share information.
I hope that the world of wellness and body-oriented practices can start to broaden their scope of awareness, and it is an absolute honour to walk this path.
I know sometimes these conversations are difficult, yet, as we watch the rise, particularly what is happening the the US, we need to have these conversations.
Starting in the body, understanding lived experience can help us bridge empathy and collectively work towards a more fair, equitable and compassionate world.
Thank you.
I support individuals and groups in reconnecting with their bodies, their stories, and the deeper layers that shape their inner world.
My work is grounded in somatic practice, ritual, and a trauma-informed approach that honours cultural and historical context.
If you feel curious to explore working together, you’re welcome to book a discovery call through the link in my bio.
Let's talk about privilege and "spirituality."
As someone who has been going to meditations, ceremonies and "spiritual" circles over the last decade. It has become evidently clear how colonist mindsets transform even the most sacred of traditions and squeeze them dry for the sake of profit and consumption.
As we watch one of the most atrocious, painful and blatantly cruel historical moments of our time, where mass murder and ethnic cleansing are broadcast and unfold before our eyes and funded by our tax dollars. There is a strange sense of stillness in the background.
I am saddened to see so many of my peers stay silent on their platforms and continue with "business as usual" - I invite you to check your privilege and take a moment to take into consideration those on this planet that could use both your voice and your Support.
To ask yourself, what advantages do I have in this world based on the body I was born into? How can I use these privileges for all of those that don't have them as I do?
Trauma-informed breath and bodywork is such a profound way to connect with the wisdom held within our bodies. Through gentle connected breath, mindful touch, and somatic inquiry, we create space for what's ready to emerge and heal. These sessions guide us back to ourselves, honoring the stories our bodies carry and the healing that's possible when we truly listen.
I've been honored to do work with the body for six years now, though my journey with ritual facilitation began 13 years ago in the Peruvian Amazon. In that time, I've witnessed the body's incredible capacity as a vessel for healing and transformation. Our bodies hold such immense wisdom and resilience, and it's a privilege to support people in connecting with that inner knowing.
Working with breath and touch helps settle the nervous system while inviting deeper awareness of what's present. Movement, sound, and emotional release often come naturally as trapped energy finds its way through, always with respect for each person's unique process and timing.
My journey into this work has been shaped by trainings including Biodynamic Breathwork & Trauma Release System, Compassionate Inquiry, Dearmouring, Somatic Plant Medicine Integration, Dearmouring – The Melting Method, and Myofascial Energetic Release. I'm committed to approaches that center healing impacts of systemic harm while supporting people to come back Home to themselves, to this Earth and a deeper sense of trust in the body and life. 🫁 ✨
Thank you @sebo.solido for capturing these moments and @unvielingwithhcharly for the vulnerability.
I am grateful for my teachers, the wisdom carriers plant and animal allies who have continuously reminded me that life – can be a masterpiece.
It is my wish, hope and dream for as many humans as possible to come back Home and remember that each and every one of us is sovereign.
And it is my hope that this can extend and that all living beings may know freedom in our lifetime.
For anyone looking for a way to come back home to the body and reclaim sovereignty. I am offering 1:1 somatic support and integration from non-ordinary states of consciousness that honors the correlation between individual and collective healing.
Thank you 🙏
If you know of anyone needing somatic support, feel free to reach out. 😊
Offering donation based 1:1 with an emphasis on Compassionate Inquiry, a somatic and question based approach to self-understanding and integration.
Each session has somatic tools and resources woven in, with an emphasis on breath.
Danke danke.
I wrote this poem the other day after reflecting on the chances that I wasn't born into a War torn country, and imagining myself walking in the steps of someone losing everything.
For many migrants and those of the many diasporas escaping war this is their reality. And truth is, over the years it has become increasingly clear how the mechanisms of privilege afford certain bodies the ability to "turn it off" while others have no other choice but to hold it and look at it.
Some can keep their peace, stay regulated, turn off their feeds while others must live with the unbearable grief of and immense loss many of us can not even begin to fathom.
Thank you.
I have a feeling, that in our lifetime we will see a mass liberation unlike anything in history. I believe, that we are on our way to creating new ways of being in the world that support all of life. I believe that we are here during an extraordinary moment on Earth and even though it may not look like it, I have hope.
We are indeed, creators of our destiny. May we dream of a world where all living beings are free, can live in dignity, have food to eat and enjoy the pleasures of this magnificent and beautiful planet.
Thank you.

The moments where I've felt the most alive have been the moments where I've been able to hold my grief and for as long as I can remember, there has always been a deep well of sorrow around the weight of this world, and the reality that so many suffer in ways that are beyond my level of comprehension.
It was such a relief to break down, to be witnessed, to cry waterfalls and feel the fears, and yet I know for so many there aren't safe spaces to do so.
I know that the events in the world touch many of us, and I know that it can feel like a lot to hold and I don't believe we are meant to hold it alone.
Thank you.
Movement keeps me sane, breath keeps me resilient and Alive. When I feel an emotion that takes over, I breathe into it, I move it and release it.
Today — the emotion that runs through my body is a mix of many, from gratitude, to Love and longing and anger, and I would like this anger to move. When I give the emotional space to be expressed, it becomes my ally and my superpower.
Join me today for Embodied Story Lab at @sacredspacebyangelosananda where we will work with conscious connected breath, movement and light contact from 20-21:15.
Come with your topics, your rage, your grief or your joy. All of you is welcome.
Checkin with Urban Sports or drop in through Sacred spaces website. 😊
My big brother was a charismatic, bright and caring human with a huge heart, unfortunately — his felt reality was quite different than mine growing up. And although he deeply cared for us, it was apparent that the systems in place did not treat him in the same regard as me and my sister.
I wish that things were different, I wish that I could have gone back in time, reached out more. Let him know that I cared. When my father called me in 2016 to tell me of his passing to heroin, I went back to my messages and hadn't spoken to him for over a year. The last message I had sent him was during a dieta in Perú, where I had the dream and hope that he would one day drink Ayahuasca with me and finally heal.
I remember researching if I could maybe find him an Iboga clinic for addiction - or some way to help him recover and get to the root, to have a safe space to feel the pain. When he passed, it felt like this dream slipped through my fingers, and I questioned how I could have allowed so much time to pass between us and wondered if maybe it would have made a difference and was filled with regret.
From time to time I feel his spirit, and I feel that wherever he went, he found peace.
Thank you Shem. I love you and I miss you.
