Some tasty bites from a recent visit to @quarteracredallas ! @tobyarchibald , @kalashnikov.go , @uss_fergy and team are doing some incredible things here. Creative seafood dishes, amazing bread & butter, and a truffle linguine that you’ll just have to order when you visit, because I don’t have the words.
Great visit to @heritage_east checking out what @chef_lance_mcwhorter is up to! Him and his team are doing something special in downtown Tyler in their humble kitchen, showcasing elevated East Texas cuisine. Plan a trip to Tyler and eat here! I’ll definitely be coming back.
Thanks to @just_call_me_b___ for roadtripping with me and sharing all this food. Couldn’t have done it without him 😂
Went to @neko_yubu for the first time and asked the lady who took my order what her top 6 were. She recommended the fresh salmon, fresh tuna, egg mayo, butter crab, grilled spicy pork, and grilled beef bulgogi. Added Tteokbokki because why not?
Everything was tasty and very filling.
I saw recommendations to order ahead, but I wanted to get their servers’ recs. No indoor seating, just a shop with pick-up. Will definitely be back 👍
I love a good Izakaya, and @ichiro.izakaya is exactly what I was looking for. Had a shoot in Ft. Worth, and saw this place close by. Ichiro is the first place I’ve seen grill their Yakitori behind the bar in DFW, and that was enough for me to be happy.
Started off with the chicken tsukesoba (thought they would send it last), which was super tasty with the rich broth, and don’t really find on many menus.
Followed that with Yakitori which is always a great reminder that meat over charcoal is always better.
Then my big back was still hungry, so I ordered the grilled yellowtail collar with miso, which is always a go to at Japanese spots, and this one did not disappoint.
Only complaint is that it’s too far from me in Dallas, otherwise I’d be here often. Dallas needs to open a similar concept ASAP.
Oxtail, cow stomach, and peanut butter stew. Sounds weird. I used to hate this Filipino classic growing up, but now it’s one of my favorites!
