I think my favourite thing about getting dressed is old clothes—the pieces you’ve lived in long enough that the memories start to matter as much as the garment itself.
These jeans are my favorite
@wrangler cowboy cuts. I have them in a few washes and am endlessly amused by how often people comment on the fit. This pair dates back to 2019 and but wears like something from ‘72– a super generous rise, close hip and almost flared leg. They’re so good.
The rollneck is one of those rare, perfect things—helped, no doubt, by the fact that it was made for me and my slightly absurd, goalie-length arms.
@Stoffa has an almost unfair ability to get these things right. If you know me, you’ve heard me carry on about the brand and the men behind it. This one’s from 2022 and is only just beginning to show a little wear. Cashmere remains my favourite fibre: at its best, it manages to be both indulgent and entirely “practical” 🙄
And then the fragrances. One borrowed from my wife’s collection—
@creedfragrance Original Santal, clean and engulfing, with a sweetness that reminds me of laundry drying on a wire somewhere in the country. The other is
@perfumerhlondon Salt, which has a way of lifting whatever it touches. Together they behave a bit like lemon in a good sorbet—softening, brightening, and settling into something quietly complex a few hours in.
