Goal: To build aerobic endurance and improve your ability to sustain faster paces over progressively longer intervals.
Workout:
* Warm-Up: 15 minutes easy jog
* Main Set: * 2 minutes at tempo pace (Zone 3–4), 1-minute recovery jog * 4 minutes at tempo pace, 2-minute recovery jog * 6 minutes at tempo pace, 3-minute recovery jog * 8 minutes at tempo pace, 4-minute recovery jog * Descend back down: * 6 minutes tempo, 3-minute recovery * 4 minutes tempo, 2-minute recovery * 2 minutes tempo, 1-minute recovery

How much do you train now?
Probably the question I get asked most in interviews.
Here is the truth:
From ~30h/week as a professional athlete…
my last 2 months averaged ~3h/week.
I shifted my goal from wanting to win world championships to simply feeling good and healthy.
You don’t lose fitness overnight.
But it happens fast… you start doing a little less, and then a little less again.
The last months were full with work, projects, life.
So staying consistent wasn’t always easy.
The cool thing:
MUUVR just launched new weekly challenges depending on your goal:
Get active = momentum challenge
Stay active & progress = Run / Ride into Spring Challenge
Progress = Consistency Pro Challenge
Since I’m currently on holidays, I gave it a go.
A bit more time, a different environment. Sometimes that’s all it takes.
With the MUUVR Consistency Pro Challenge, I set myself a simple goal:
back to 6×50 min per week. 💪🏼
Nothing crazy.
Just showing up again and going a little longer each time. It worked.

I thought retirement means more time.
I was wrong.
Now it’s emails, back-to-back days, and a hundred ideas at once.
Almost 2 years since I stopped racing.
And honestly? Some days my head feels like it’s about to explode.
Professional sport is hard.
Working 9 hours straight is hard too.
Just a different kind of pressure.
What I’ve learned:
If you have passion, it never feels like work. You just choose what kind of hard you want.
