so starting 2025 having to evacuate both the eaton fire and then the palisades fire after that was wild. thank you to all of the friends who hosted us and helped clean up our patio of toxic leaves and ashes 🥲

should we… go to New Mexico? ⚡️💟⚡️ flyer designs for “A Lightning Score”, the latest exhibit in Tracy Fenix’s ( @tracyfenix ) Mud Kin Project, a land-based curatorial mapping project focused on Native and Latinx projects. This gathering will showcase the powerful work of six artists rooted in Los Angeles and New Mexico, exploring light, sonic, and film interpretations and emotional overtures of ancestral lands.

work displayed at @trebordenco ‘s recent birthday ✨event✨ created back in 2019
the project came out of a @listoscalifornia campaign generating disaster prep awareness for non-English speaking communities in California. i presented a deck pitching an idea and budget, sewed and heatpressed which was a whole production (thank you @ginger_q_ for the vinyl cutting as always), and we did a photoshoot at an airbnb pool which ultimately became the poster 📸 it was also covid lockdown era and this project was born out of ambiguity for the future
it’s special bc i also consulted my parents and @jeongsteph on the Korean and it was the first time i’ve involved family in a project
the piece itself was made out of orange neoprene and light reflective safety vinyl, material that emulated a life jacket
thank you for the opportunity of a lifetime @treborden 🫶 and supportive friends who inspire me so much ♥️♥️♥️ also how exciting that i got to exhibit alongside bestie @ginger_q_ hehe
i feel v lucky to have a design project framed as art ☺️
