NEW ON TONE LIST RECORDS
"ABOVE, AROUND, OVER"
The debut solo percussion suite from Lone//Hed (@danharrison____ ).
Tone List is proud to introduce its first label offering of 2026: a snappy, crisp, digital five track cut clocking eight minutes of solo improvised drum set pieces from the recording project of Boorloo musician Daniel Harrison (of @gapyearwa_band , @heathcotebluemusic , @didionsbibleband ).
Above, Around, Over contains a collection of improvisations made between December '25 & January '26. All played, engineered and mixed by Lone//Hed in their home studio over the summer.
It has captured an undeniable vibrant immediacy that straddles masterful touch & flow of the untamed sonority. A unique culmination of modern bedroom producing with the very raw and real percussive energy of trading shapes with the great free jazzers.
From the artist:
"The title 'Above, Around, Over' is in itself a description of the way these solos were composed. Whilst the majority of the material has been improvised, short melodies and themes were preconceived on certain tracks.
I would like to credit Simon Barker (AUS) and Joey Baron (US) as major inspirations for this record. "
