Landed back from my Uganda tour 2025
Different church every day all the way from Kampala to Mbale training a new generation of people to use electronic music in a pure way.
Dance music is pure and collectively a beautiful experience, and its so good to play daytime places where its just about the music.
Ita a joy to see how movement gives rise to freedom, and seeing people free in worship and having beautiful experiences was a joy.
Played at
@undergroundkampala and
@otters_kampala bringing a live gospel flavoured acid techno set. Going straight from a night party to church in the morning is a really good vibe can 100% reccomend.
Im sure you can recall the first time you heard electronic music. Theres something aspect of the sound that captured your soul and pointed you towards a future where humanity moves as one. For me that was hearing
@faithlessofficial "We Come One" when I was 12 on a TV advert. Something clicked inside my mind and I wanted to do what that sound carried. Here I am 20 years later getting to spread that similar sound, TR8 and 303 in the style of
@djpierrephuture to central Africa.
The most amazing thing was seeing how the jigsaw puzzle pieces were beautifully arranged, Lingala music (which is standard beat in church music here) originating from Congo is played at around 132BPM, with the same polyrhymic patterns as techno. Could not have planned it if I had tried. Just goes to show you following the guidance of the spirit does far better than we could imagine.
Thanks to Kennedy, Moses, James, Richard, and all the beautiful souls that made the trip happen.
See you next year and big Lov3
