Preparing for this competition consumed me psychically and physically for weeks leading up to it. It tapped me into an early childhood love of competing. Not winning, which I rarely did, but the stakes of competition, the adrenaline, the way it asks us to reach beyond our beliefs in what is possible, the focus it demands.
An honor to compete in the arena of experimental dance and performance. World's away from the gymnastics meet, but sometimes not so far.
