Participating in the global dance community since 2003 with a deep respect to the African diasporic artforms of Strutting, Popping, Hip Hop and Locking. What’s always been powerful about Rashaad’s artistry is his ability to carry his full story through his movement. This includes his upbringing that’s shaped him and the teachers and mentors that gave him tools to succeed. It’s important for him that everyone’s story lives through him each time you see him dance. Today he serves the community as Founder/Creative Director of Soulmatic, Story Teller, Educator and Performing Artist. He is celebrated as the first Hip Hop Adjunct Professor at UMBC. Rashaad fulfills his mission to pass on what his elders and ancestors have passed onto him. Using community building, courage and imagination he’s able to explore the culture through and through as a true soul man, one solo at a time. 👩‍💻 @bthefern

Our final judge needs no introduction. He’s a force of nature and beloved both locally and internationally. ⭐️Jiggy Jaya @jiggyjaya ⭐️ ——— Jaya Soewito-Martin, also known as “Jiggy Jaya”, has over 13 years of dedicated training in Popping. He has become a prominent figure in the international street dance scene, representing Australia since the age of 12. Jaya’s talent has taken him to dance competitions across the globe, including the USA, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, China, Singapore, and Europe. Notably, he achieved a significant milestone by clinching victory in the KOD Asia Cup Qualifier Final 4v4 Popping competition in 2017 alongside his crew, Stale Biskitz, held in Seoul, Korea. Our next judge is not only an incredible mover but a veritable cornucopia of House and HipHop knowledge and a bedrock of our local community. 🏠 Jasey @jasey.me 🏠 ——— With a deep connection to the dance community in Sydney over the last 20 years, Jasey has sought inspiration from around the world, particularly from Japan and America. Jasey continues to train under renowned figures in Hiphop and House, including members of Elite Force, Dance Fusion, sucreamgoodman, and S.A.S. As one half of the dance crew JADE alongside Dechen and a member of global 603 Boogie Squad, Jasey has been part of various creative endeavors. However, the love of music and quest for knowledge remains a primary focus with dancing being one application of the culture. Reflecting on his journey, Jasey shares, “I don’t have any recent battle highlights. The last W was 8 years ago. Some days you have genius, other days you don’t. But don’t let that define your dance or your position in the scene. You never know when you’re going to be a hero or inspiration for someone. Just keep showing up and don’t stop. No matter what you’ve been through or going through. The world needs all of us to keep creating. Our next judge is no mere mortal, some speculate that he is a deity of rhythm, a spirit of the cypher. Whichever myth you believe, you may have had the honour of learning from them, or you may still be on their waitlist. 🔥Jamie 🔥 ——— Jamie Theam Kha, also known by his artist name Ja.z - An Australian born Cambodian/Vietnamese individual dancing for more than 10 years, with a fusion of street dance styles of breaking, house, popping, authentic jazz, and many other styles. Travelled around the world in the name of dance to understand and explore the demographic, culture, and social aspect of music, dance and people. Founding member of Riddim Nation Est 2015 - A collective of individuals of different dance styles, cultures, and ethnicities around the globe based all around Sydney, And Member of Hybrid Formz Est 2003, an all-breaking crew based in Bankstown with a long history in the Australian breaking scene.
