Global Tarraxo Battle Montreal 2026 🥇🥉🥉
WE DID ITTT, AGAINNNNNN! 🔥🔥🔥
This year
@jazeon.lilo.tarraxo and I participated in our first Tarraxo Battle since last winning in 2024 (thanks in no small part to
@mdhr22 *very* strongly suggesting 😆), and this time with a twist:
In addition to placing 3rd in duos with 0 preparation or training due to previous injuries, We BOTH entered for the solo category…
And ended up battling each other in the semi-finals! 🤯
As
@gwanytarraxo said when this happens (partners battling each other) in Paris they say “uh oh!”, but for us this was a great way to create a fun moment for everyone (and we finished placing 1st and 3rd!).
The first time that I did this competition, I learned the importance of being present with your partner despite the eyes, cameras, judges, etc.
This time, I learned that the true victory in competitions is not so much in the physical result, so much as in winning the mental game beforehand to put yourself out there, challenge yourself, and believe in the work that you have done to bring yourself to that moment.
In this way, competitions become not something to be sought after or feared for the sake of or protection of the ego, but rather, for growing, learning, and creating beautiful experiences for yourselves and others 💙
After all, it’s much more interesting that way 😆🎉
Do you agree/disagree? Why do you compete?
Let me know your thoughts in the comments, and here’s to many more competitions to come!
Thank you to the judges
@tpeakdje @joetarraxo @mariahdaniielle @staycepretty for your time and energy (This was not an easy battle to judge 😅),
@gaztkb for being a 🔥 MC, and to the organizers/team members/volunteers who all make things like this happen 🙏
