This Saturday we’re celebrating 10 years of the beloved Minneapolis party label, The Headspace Collective. Brought to you by the curators of Housewerk, City of Acid began at the old Honey club in March of 2018. This rendition of the party will feature a lineup of the old and new voices of Twin Cities Acid music. Her “miscellaneous” DJ style lends itself well to ambient chill rooms, but she can also rock a dance floor with deep, sexy, house music. Former residencies include Housewerk and House Headz. In addition to DJing, she is a promoter, sound technician, audio editor and vocalist. Elaine is a founding member of The Headspace Collective crew with whom she filled the role of production manager and ran the Even Furthur Domeland DIY stage and Free Radio Furthur from 2016-2019 and chill stage for The Great Beyond 2021 and 2022. The Headspace Collective, Abstrakt Xpressions Co-founder of The Headspace Collective and former resident DJ for House Headz and Housewerk, Neil likes to keep a dance floor moving from disco edits to acid house and funk and soul. Artist spotlight for City of Acid this Saturday, May 16th: Alexis Rose (@lexxonline ) Minneapolis-based DJ, producer, and visual artist, Alexis Rose, lets her spirit be her guide. Her sets are rooted in House and UK garage — groovy, soulful, rhythmically interesting — with an ear gravitated toward the weird and ethereal. Sounds with texture and atmosphere. The kind of track that makes you stop mid-conversation just to listen. She adapts to any room without compromising her sound. Creatively stubborn and deeply connected to everything she touches. Artist spotlight for Ondamike, at Gateway, on Saturday, May 2nd: Eylxr @eylxr_ Eylxr is a producer and DJ based in Minneapolis. She is a co-founder of Caravan Sound System and curator of multifaceted events. Inspired by global and organic sounds, her sonic palette combines deep basslines, intricate percussion, & atmospheric soundscapes, that embody dynamic, raw, and otherworldly energy in her music and performances. Her sets showcase selections of dubstep, techno, breaks, and club, and how they can be blended together. Eylxr’s curation is fueled by understanding music as a language that everyone can speak, and the dance floor a space free of borders or barriers - infused with her passion of activism, arts, and global connection, her selections will take you on a multigenre journey that bridges sound, culture, and community. Saturday, May 2nd Gateway presents: Ondamike With direct support from local bass legend @jensymmetry Jen Symmetry’s love for bass-driven music has fueled exciting performances at clubs, festivals, and underground parties across the US. Known for her high-energy, sharp sets, Jen has landed prime timeslots alongside international heavyweights like Sam Binga, Paradox, Pola & Bryson, Craze, and many more. While she first made a name for herself behind the decks, her original productions, from jungle to breaks and dubstep, have recently made waves on labels Rolled Up, Global DNB Collective, Drum Army Crew and others, with several releases on the 2026 horizon. As a member of Mechanix Minneapolis, Jen helps curate cutting-edge, inclusive bass nights, and she also proudly represents the renowned Dnb Girls collective.
