Amazing to come home to a Sports Emmy for being a part of NBC and Peacock’s coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics. There is simply no event in sports that thrills and demands and challenges and rewards like the Olympics. And to serve as a daytime host and work with a wonderful, thoughtful and brilliant team was especially gratifying! 🏆
My first trip to Lambeau Field was back in 1998 (😳🤪) as a beat writer covering the San Francisco 49ers for the Sacramento Bee. So neat to return this weekend with my Packers-crazed son who started loving football back when Aaron Rodgers ruled the game. I left my Raiders allegiance behind this weekend and dove into all things Packers. From dinner at Titletown to a Saturday night stadium tour, Hall of Fame visit, pre-game field visit and, ultimately, a 23-6 Packers win over the Vikings, we could not have asked for anything more. So grateful to Aaron, Sarah and the @packers organization for a magical weekend. I’ll check up on the Raiders in a bit. 😣 For now, it’s Go, Pack, go! 🧀 🏈
