About a week and a half ago I got to help out the guys in @theaquabats get ready for their tribute show at The Observatory as The Cure. Getting to style their wigs and do all their makeup was just the most fun. @mister.christian.jacobs as Robert Smith was so, so perfect and creating his wig was one of my favorite things I’ve done. The stupid little ponytail we did still delights me beyond reason. @brandensteineckert even got to dance on stage as a cat. A love cat, if you will. What a ridiculously perfect evening.

Happy birthday to this incredible human!!! He’s the most kind, compassionate, generous, ambitious and hilarious person I know. My favorite person to do absolutely everything and nothing with. I’ve spent the better part of a century having pink hair, which is strange because pink is one of my least favorite colors. Being an uber tomboy I always resented that pink was the one of the only options for “girl things.” Somehow it eventually worked its way into my life and became my go to color for hair. I’ve always wanted dark hair again but I have sooooo many greys and the lighter, pastel shades always helped hide them. But since the grey has been begging to be seen for so long I decided to finally bring it to the stage. Thanks to @joriecoontz for giving me this awesome titanium shade!!
Whenever @matteastin hits me up to work with him I know we’re about to have the best time. This time it was a video with Benson Boone announcing his upcoming tour. Such a fun day on set! Matt is one of the most talented directors I’ve had the honor of working with! He has such a clear vision and unmatched style, but the way he collaborates with his artists is pretty special. Thanks for having me, Matt!! Also, this was the fourth time Matt has brought me on to work with Benson and I just have to say that Benson is one of the loveliest people I’ve ever worked with. So insanely talented and unbelievably funny and kind. I love working with him. Thanks for the trust, fellas!
Bridger’s podcast may be called “I Said No Gifts”, but this man is the epitome of a gift himself. He is one of the greatest comedic minds and writers of our generation. Whenever anyone asks me for a podcast recommendation his is always the first one I name. I’ve been listening to him weekly for the last 5.5 years and he has always felt like he is a friend I just hadn’t formally met yet. So I was so delighted @brandensteineckert and I got the chance to hang with him for a bit last week! Go follow @bridgerwinegar and listen to his show @isaidnogifts , you’ll be so glad you did.
Since 2012 I have been sharing this photo every Thanksgiving. That year my adorable grandma declared excitedly that she had a special treat for dinner. She had made “Lobster” for everyone. This is the lobster we were presented. Every adult in the room was simultaneously delighted and horrified to see the jello dessert in front of us. I don’t think I need to tell you what it looked like (on account of you having eyes and seeing it for yourself right now) but the color, texture and the whipped cream placement didn’t do any favors for what she thought was a family friendly dessert. It will go down as the greatest moment in Thanksgiving history and it is forever my duty (and honor) to share it with all of you.
