Worlds Collide! I had the absolute honor of presenting design icon Tinker Hatfield with a one-of-a-kind snare drum this week. Tinker is the VP of Design and Special Projects at Nike. He was behind iconic designs at Nike that include Jordan 3-15, Air Max, the Back to the Future Air Mag, and so much more.
He has been such an inspiration for me throughout my career. Having had the opportunity to meet him back in 2021 inspired me to celebrate his passion for music and legacy of design. My head immediately went to designing a drum that would reimagine his art and combine American innovation into one package. It even combines North Carolina legacy with state hero Michael Jordan and Ludwig Drums!

The design for this drum was based on sole of the Jordan 7. My first Jordan. The color way is based on Tinker’s Alma Mater, University of Oregon. Insane to witness this becoming a reality.
