Halifax, NS native Sam Cox is the newest addition to the men's soccer team. Cox will bring his technical ability, versatility up front, and positional awareness to the reigning AUS Champions. He most recently competed with Suburban FC U17AAA, where he helped his team win the Nova Scotia Cup in 2025, punching their ticket to the Toyota Canada Soccer National Championships, which they ended up winning – becoming the first team from Nova Scotia to achieve this accomplishment. During his 2024 season, Cox was also part of Suburban's Canada Youth Cup winning team. When asked about his choice to attend Dalhousie, Cox credited the decision to the coach's belief in his abilities. He is also looking forward to growing academically at one of Canada's top schools. Cox will begin his studies in commerce this fall. Coach Alan Jazic has shared his excitement on his team's newest recruit. "I'm really excited to be welcoming Sam to our program. I've been following Sam for a couple of years now and I believe he has a very high ceiling for growth and development. He can play anywhere across the front line, and he can drop and receive in pockets of space," Jazic said. "Athletically and physically, I see Sam giving defenders in this league a difficult time. He can run at you with the ball at his feet, and he can run the lanes in behind with pace and explosion. I see Sam developing into a solid goal scorer in this league for years to come. I'm really excited to be working with Sam over the next 4-5 years." Cox has also shared his excitement to join the Black & Gold this fall. "I'm really excited about the chance to come to Dalhousie. It's a great program, and I know it will be the perfect place for me to keep improving," Cox said. "I'm looking forward to working hard, learning from the coaches, and being part of the team." The Tigers continue to build towards another successful AUS season. Welcome to the Tigers, Sam.

During his time with BTB, he helped his team secure three Provincial Championships, qualifying for Nationals each of those years. At Nationals, Horhul has earned two silver medals and one bronze medal. During his 2024 season, Horhul also won the BTB BMO Top 60 MVP and was nominated for BTB Team of the Season in both 2022 and 2023. He's athletic, good with his feet, a great shot stopper, quick off his line, and he's a commanding presence. More importantly for me, Andrey wanted to come to Dalhousie and be a Dalhousie Tiger. Dalhousie Tigers men's soccer head coach Alan Jazic is pleased to announce the commitment of Cameron Gallaway for the 2026-27 season. Hailing from Ottawa, 6'3" left-footed defender Cameron Gallaway is the Tigers' newest addition, bringing a strong technical ability, physical presence, and a highly competitive mindset to the men's soccer program. Gallaway most recently competed with Ottawa South United (OSU), where he helped lead his team to the U19 Coupe d'Espoir Quebec Provincial Championship in 2025 and the U17 OPDL Charity Shield Championship in 2024. During the 2023 season, he also helped OSU secure a second-place finish at the Top-Rated Showcase, along with a third-place finish in the OPDL. Head coach Alan Jazic shared his excitement about his team's newest recruit. "I'm really excited to welcome Cameron to the Tiger Family. Cameron attended a Dalhousie Player I.D. camp two years ago and I was really impressed. That opportunity allowed me to follow him and stay connected with him since. Cameron comes from a great club at OSU. He's a technically gifted player with great size, a wonderful left foot, and he plays with a high IQ. Defensively, he is very aggressive, competitive, and positionally sound. In transition, he has a great engine to get up and down the pitch and is dynamic in 1v1 situations. I'm really looking forward to working with Cameron over the next 4–5 years." Jazic also mentioned how Gallway has the ability to play multiple positions, including left centreback, fullback, and winger. Gallaway also shared his excitement about joining the Black & Gold this fall. "Dalhousie has one of Canada's best commerce programs and combined with Dal's success on the field it was an easy choice for me! I can't wait to play under the guidance of Coach Jazic and see what soccer in the AUS is all about." Off the pitch, Gallaway is an honor roll student and a recipient of the Character Award. In the fall, he will be studying commerce. The defending AUS champions continue to build toward success on both the AUS and national stage.
