It is worth it to note that they have a Best of Connecticut 2025 award, but that isn't even what signifies that it's good before you even try the food. It's the people. The people don't lie! You know a place is going to be good when locals are pouring in, ON MOTHER'S DAY NO LESS!!! Some were greeted by name, which means they have happy, returning customers. And after my experience, I also want to return!
I tried the Buffalo Chicken pizza with red sauce (perfect), the "Lordshippian" (cutlet and burrata, say less), and the Cavatelli & Broccoli Rabe with Sausage (classic done right). These are everyday menu items, but they also have multiple daily specials including this freaking amazing cannoli cake?! pie?! I don't know exactly what it was, but it was flakey heavenly happiness that should be on the menu all the time because it was on its way to selling out at 1 pm and they had at least THREE PANS OF IT AT OPENING!
Anyways, go there. Make the trip if you have to. You deserve some tasty Italian food!

Been out to dinner lately? We have, we have been eating around, checking out our competition…. And this is what we found. Most places don’t serve bread anymore, salads are often not included, and prices are inflated for mediocre food and the average check is $100 for a couple if you have a drink or two. I know Dal Mare is take-out, however, our food is amazing, you get Bread and Salad and Dressing included with every dinner!
