Over the last few years, #Canada has become an important part of my creative journey.
What started with an introduction from
@xcaliberzero turned into sync workshops in Toronto with
@mzmeesh17 x
@thehooksyncgroup (where I met #musicsupervisor for
@wracketmusicsupervision @vybzchantel ), returning during
@tiff_net with
@brianna_shelko and the
@levelupmusicproductions team for a writing camp (in collaboration with
@guildofmusicsupervisorscanada x
@vapormusic x
@heatheradamo ), building relationships with artists, music supervisors, producers, and creatives throughout the Canadian music community, and continuing to grow real friendships and collaborations along the way.
Those experiences inspired this project.
Da Fingaz Presents: TRUE NORTH 🇨🇦
A cinematic Canadian hip hop album featuring incredible artists from across Canada.
Gritty. Reflective. Cinematic. Triumphant.
Boom bap, soul, late night energy, ambition, struggle, perseverance, and growth.
Every song on this project was produced by me, but this album is bigger than production. It’s about community, collaboration, and honoring the relationships built over the last few years.
The project will be available for sync licensing and streaming platforms soon.
Still wrapping final mixes and paperwork now, and there may even be another track or two added before release 👀
