Had the loveliest Mother’s Day- slept in before a beach day with my boys, spoiled with cards and flowers and treats. I’m in awe of the many incredible mothers I have the privilege to know, love, learn from and mother alongside. For mothers everywhere, I’m wishing so much joy in this calling. I’m dreaming of a world where affordable childcare, paid maternal leave and universal healthcare are not policy notes but reality. More than ever, I’m so grateful for the science and reproductive freedom that afforded me the choice of motherhood, as it should always be. I’m always mindful of those for whom today is not a celebration. My heart hurts with women separated from their children, especially by borders and brutal governments- I remain fixated on the women unjustly detained at Dilley detention center, away from their families.
