Please allow me to celebrate the Brooklyn College Playwriting MFAers … For those that don’t know I’ve had the honor to be the Co-Program Director for Brooklyn College’s MFA playwriting program for 4 seasons- The Off Off Broadway Festival catapulted my journey as a playwright fifteen years ago— This year of the 30 finalists (out of over 650 submissions) 5 were Brooklyn college MFAers and this weekend it’s been announced that 3 of the 6 playwrights selected to be published are BC grads. All of the writers are something special and I’m extremely proud to be a footnote in what will prove to be influential, inspiring, ass kicking artistic careers!
