ART IS HOW WE STAND UP.
With so much to pull us down right now, never forget that art pulls us up.
Amplify each other's voices, keep your eyes open, and stay inspired. That is power.
Take pride in your small pleasures, especially when they don't feel related to these issues. Everyday joys keep our humanity alive. And it's infectious, humanity, so keep creating with passion.
& fuck ICE.
Love yall
A few album art pieces I shot for @dextershack and @jagger_rhodes
Artists inspire each other and I absolutely love photo/video inspired by music. Keep your eyes and ears open for more...
A New Approach... The Church Collage
Sometimes when the camera feels like it's fighting you, it might just be trying to show you something.
Don't be afraid to lean into it.

Been having fun in City Park recently. Shoutout Rory and James for the quick couple's shoot.
Happy late St. Patrick's Day, and come back soon, I miss yall! 💘
There is an old feeling to the bayou... not entirely unlike that of where I was raised in Appalachia.
I can only imagine the stories the trees could tell each other. What the live oak would say to the rhododendron; what the cypress and the palm would tell the maple and the hemlock.
And, of course, the gators would scare the northern deer like nothing they've seen, yet the opossums and raccoons and squirrels would greet their cousins with the warmth of family.
Maybe just like we humans do too.
All this to say that while still distinct, the cultural connection to environment in the rural and natural spaces of these two regions I have called home is very familiar.
I'll definitely be back.
After a Mardi Gras hiatus, it feels good to be back. How yall been?
These are some winter bayou residents I met back in January, and even though I've certainly found a love for the city, I was really craving some time away and outside.
Side note, I had no idea there was a baby gator in pic 4 until I was editing it. I guess that's on camouflage, huh.
Also don't worry, next Mardi Gras I'll bring a camera, but for my first I chose to focus more on experiencing than documenting.
More to come...
