new essay published in Adjacent Journal 🧪
thank you the editorial team @adjacent.itp
in Jan & Feb, Yan @ss.syan and I co-wrote this essay on photosynthesis: plants & bacteria are fundamental to the evolution of all life; we have long been ignoring the “labor” of other beings on Earth; the substance of economy is from the Sun; we humans do not own what we spend.
thank you Yan for introducing your work, bringing me back to the writings of Lynn Margulis, & for all the discussions we had and are having; life’s changing & evolving… (so will our writings...) but with plants as always 🌵ω🌴

I'm very grateful to work with Wen and many friends. 🤍 It's still touching to read about Wen's experience & practice. The exhibition booklet includes an interview with the artist; pdf available on MACA Art Center’s website.
countercurrent is a publication dedicated to uncovering in(ter)dependent spaces that exist beyond the confines of the mainstream art scene. We celebrate the fluidity and rebelliousness of non-traditional spaces—artist-run, collective, and small-scale venues—that challenge the increasingly industrialized conditions of the art world.
Through amplifying voices that nurture creativity and support diverse communities, we recognize their vital contributions to shaping culture without relegating them to the status of “alternative.”

working with Jun @junnnnnnnnnnnnuj on the exhibition Ontogenesis in the Liminal Heat of Remains, opening from Jan 17 – Mar 1 at ACEC (Apeldoorns Centrum voor Eigentijdse Cultuur) @acecgebouw
interesting to feel the former boiler room as an exhibition space & learn about the place’s industrial history (of engine production) & hear many folktales (about caves and incarnations) from Jun
