Clare Wright — Producer, Programmer, and 1/5th of Shotgun Wedding Studios.
Clare grew up in Los Angeles where she spent her childhood glued to the tv watching old Hollywood musicals. Entranced by the fashion, production, and vibrant sets, she would ignore her parents if they tried to speak to her while she was watching. Carrying this deep love of film throughout her life, Clare pursued a film degree and created the horror film club @sundayscariesfilm , where she still obsesses over all the same stylistic elements she did as a child. Her favorite films are always offbeat, ranging from the deconstructed filmmaking of Chantal Ackerman’s Jeanne Dielman to the visual opulence and melodrama of Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet. With Shotgun Wedding Studios, she intends to breathe life into the strange and beautiful spaces that have forever lived in her head.
