The album continues the futuristic sound palette developed from our last album and transposes it to larger spaces, bigger sounds and bolder rhythms. It emerges out of the cold and back onto the dance floor. Ben (@mildminds_ ) is someone who I’ve known for a very long time, stretching back to DJing parties and club nights back in Melbourne in the 2000s, and also playing festivals and shows with his band Miami Horror. Since making music as Mild Minds, he’s gone from strength to strength, building a big name for himself and putting out some great records and remixes. So when it came to getting remixes done for our new music, it was a logical choice to ask for him.
I think he’s done a great job with the remix, crafting a more energetic sound that evolves and flows as the track plays, but also keeping the emotional core of the song intact. I can’t wait for people to enjoy it.
