We are sharing the inspirational story of Gerd Hay-Edie to celebrate International Women’s Day. A Norwegian textile designer, she created @mournetextiles and is meaningful for us for several reasons. Like us, she was endlessly inspired by her local landscape. She collaborated with designers such as Robin Day and more recent collaborations for the brand include exciting names in modern design like @margarethowellltd and @carlhansenandson .
She was a female leader in times when this was not the norm at all. And she settled in Ireland, where one of our founders, Rachel, hails from - a landscape which always inspires our designs.
Here at CF we are proud to not only have a female founder, but all of our leadership team is female, very unusual in this industry (apart from Ian the other founder). And 50% of our overall team are female too.

Each real wood veneer sample is unique, with different colours, tone and grain but serve to give an idea, spark a vision, add to a moodboard...
