Some images of our performance during the protest in #Basiruti beach, in support of the #LandBack movement in #Aruba.
The last years the hotels have been taking more space than what is fair for the local communities and the situation got to a limit.
Now the hot point is Basiruti Beach, where the high rise hotels are, and where the public palapas has been replaced by private parasols for the St Regis Hotel guests.
This is a reality: locals are being pushed out of their natural places. We stand for a fair deal and strong local protection policies to guarantee the free access to the natural resources.

Welcome aboard!
Currents - the worldwide sailing tour has officially begun and we finally share our intro to our YouTube series! (Watch the longer version on our Acting for Climate channel)
In our YouTube series, Abigael & Emma will take you along their journey around the world along with the 5 other circus artists and the boat cat Michelle.
The goal of Currents is to explore future sustainable pathways for the territories we are in and those we come from and create a performance that shakes the souls and drives the audience to action.
The crew will meet with local artists, scientists and activists and co-create their site-specific performance in special local venues. In between they will take us aboard their journey - only powered by the winds and waves!
Starting in 2024 in Europe, they will cross the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, sail by the Caribbean, Asia and Africa to return back to Norway in 2027.
Subscribe to the Acting for Climate YouTube channel to follow their journey around the world!

🇵🇫 Arrived to French Polynesia after 39 days at sea! 🥳
We have some big stories to share from the crossing of the Pacific, when we find grounding and better internet connection. For now, fresh fruit, green all around, sleep, a circus workshop for the local kids and a show is on the agenda. Thank you to the people of Fatu-Hiva and the sailor community for your warm welcome!
Stay tuned!

Day 22🗓️ Halfway there! The Pacific is carrying our dreams.
Our crew aboard Yddrasil has officially crossed the halfway point of their journey from Panama! 📍 After weeks of navigating the vast blue, they are now closer to the shores of French Polynesia than they are to where they started.Moving a circus company across the world's largest ocean is a challenge that only the bravest take on, and our team is doing it with art in their hearts. 🌬️🎭
They are out there, surrounded by waves and stars, proving that sustainable travel is possible, even when the destination is an ocean away.
✨ Send some love!
The crew might be in the middle of the sea, but they feel your energy. Drop a comment below with a ❤️ or a message of encouragement for the final stretch of this incredible crossing! 📩👇

Updates From Yggdrasil ;
We crossed the equator at 6 this morning! We all put on our best dresses, poured offerings of rum into the sea to Calypso, Poseidon & the Kraken, and all said one thing to leave in the N hemisphere and one thing to call for in the S. Soon we pass Galapagos and head west!
!!!We are crossing the Pacific!!! 🐋🌊
When you see this video, we are already out in the big, big blue. The word exciting doesn’t even begin to describe it!
Lucho dreams of great sailing, Abby of whales, and Emma of learning French before we are across…
We are also so happy to be part of the new project @sailing.arts - the account to follow for anyone interested in arts by sail. ⛵️
While we are offline, our amazing supporters Ravn and Lolo will keep you updated here - they are in touch with us through our satellite phone. We hope for fair winds and soft swell - see you on the other side?!

March 2025 recap ✨
March kept us in Aruba longer than planned, and we couldn’t be more grateful! ✨ From amazing expeditions with Luvaldi to connecting with the island's culture, it’s been a transformative month.
However, it hasn’t all been sunsets. We’ve spent time observing the environmental challenges Aruba faces due to extractivism. It’s a powerful reminder that our mission withis not just about moving art—it’s about moving consciences. 🌬️🎨
The journey continues.

Sailing is about remembering to use our senses. As we are sailing the world - how does the world see us?
Are the dolphins as excited for our company, as we are when they visit? When does the wind and waves become so clear that we automatically understand each other? Will there ever be a day where the sunset does not take our breath away?
We are super grateful to @dr_walter who keep us safe in our journey around the world, as we meet wonder upon wonder. Check our link in bio for their worldwide travel insurance!
