while i am certainly not aiming to be a professional dj, playing other people’s tunes at my and my friends’ events does not feel contrived, can be immensely enjoyable, and occasionally creates the type of magic that catches me off guard in the best way possible. this closing dj set from @aheich_ s experimental night at @ikii.berlin a few weeks ago is my favorite music experience i’ve created with other people’s music so far and in some ways sets a goal/bar for the journeys i am marching towards with my live sets. the set is now available to listen on soundcloud (link in bio) !! thank you @aheich_ & @ikii.berlin for making this intensely focused listening possible! #experimental #deeplistening #ikiiberlin #listeningbar #experimentalnight

Join us for an experimental and ambient night at @ikii.berlin next Thursday, October 2 📍 Herrfurthplatz 8 18:00-23:00 5€ at the door Current - 18:00-19:30 aheich & Ava (live) - 19:30-20:10 Acrartep (live) - 20:20-21:00 Current - 21:00-22:30 We are making this night extra cozy: expect an evening of experimental, drone, and ambient sounds with 2 live acts, one special DJ set and live visuals. @acrartep continues exploring the possibilities of electronic music through a unique and experimental approach, offering audiences sound experiences that challenge conventions and invite contemplation. @current.whisper is a gourmet sonic chef who elicits false memories through dissonance, field recordings, analog and digital synthesis, seasoned with more than a touch of distortion fetishism. @ava_len_graphics is a conceptual artist. She defines the essence of her work by applying mixed media. Ava experiments with the concept of change by referencing liquids because, like us, they never stay the same. @aheich_ is an experimental electronic artist, who creates minimalist, tactile sound worlds, blending synthesizers and natural sounds.
