🚨New Exhibition Alert 🚨
This Friday 15th May sees the launch of Fil OK’s “Dual Town” exhibition, at Cuore di Vetro Gelateria.
Based mainly in London, Fil is a visual artist, music producer and DJ, with strong ties to Berlin for over 20 years.
He brings his unique vision of quirky human individuality to this collection of scenes from life - merging in a town called Dual.
Fil’s technique is to fuse hand drawn, coloured portraits of real people he encounters, along with collages of photographs from real life - hence the name Dual Town.
Fil and buddy Sheila Chipperfield will be DJing upstairs at Cuore di Vetro from 18:00 til 22:00 this Friday.
Please come along for some ice cream, prosecco, and to step into the Dual Town universe.

TONIGHT!
We open our doors for the last time this year with a special event. Riccardo Barracu and Anna Motterle present a photo exhibition, reading and artist talk plus a DJ set. From 6-10pm. Come by.
Cuore Di Vetro is proud to present a special opening night:
05.12.2025 from 6-10pm
Identità e Integrazione in Europa”, the essay by Riccardo Barracu (Iskra, 2025), offers an analysis of the political, social, cultural and economic dynamics of the continent, exploring the new balances between East and West and the role of conflict as a catalyst for transforming the ethics of coexistence. Central to the work are young people, the children of the “society of uncertainty”, seen as key actors in global change—from democratic uprisings to new forms of activism in the age of globalization. Book presentation: author Riccardo Barracu in conversation with journalist Francesco Padovani.
From the book comes DER GLØBAL FUTUR_ – TransiTIdentitäT, a traveling festival under the artistic direction of Riccardo Barracu, which translates theoretical reflection into an artistic research process on the metamorphoses of identity. Among the participating artists is Anna Motterle, presenting her installation on the theme TransiTIdentitäT in a preview at “Cuoredi Vetro”, where the essay is also officially presented for the first time.
Riccardo Barracu is a director, researcher, and curator of cultural festivals based in Berlin. He trained in semiotics and dramaturgy in Bologna and has collaborated in New York with Judith Malina of the Living Theatre and with Peter Wear at the Sorbonne. He explores themes of identity and transformation and is, for the first time, the author of an essay on identity and integration in Europe.
In dialogue with the TransitIdentität theme of Global Futur Festival Anna Motterle presents a set of work in two sections.
Totentanz: a single image that ironically displays the current social and political mood of Europe.
Scars: a multi-image project reflecting on the roots of European identity by drawing on the theme of collective memory in Germany.
Anna Motterle is a photographer whose work mainly focuses on post-industrial themes and aesthetics. She works between Venice and Berlin, spending as much time in the printing lab as behind the lens. More on astridxaim.eu.

Last week we had the huge honor to accept the prize for best Gelateria in Berlin 2025 at the first @trueitalianfood awards.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. To the jury, to @berlinomagazine , to @trueitalianfood , to our team in Cuore, to our customers who believed in us since day one and continue to believe in and support us.
❤️❤️❤️
Another winter has arrived and your beloved Cuore is now open just on weekends.. or AT LEAST on weekends for the rest of November still serving you delicious gelato, aperitivo, art exhibitions and music. Come by before we enter our December hiatus.
There’s something magical about eating gelato in Berlin.
In a city where summer is short but sweetness lasts all year, the quality of artisan gelaterias is extraordinary — truly among the highest in the world. 🍦
That’s why the True Italian Awards Berlin 2025 celebrate this unique excellence with the category Gelateria of the Year 2025.
It’s not just about flavour — it’s about passion, imagination, and craftsmanship. This award honours those who transform simple ingredients into something unforgettable: from the creativity behind each recipe to the quality of the raw materials, from the welcoming atmosphere to the kindness of the service.
Each of these gelaterias represents the best of what gelato can be: an experience of care, curiosity, and pure joy.
