Yesterday’s handover came with an unexpected surprise - a cake from the clients to say thank you! 🎂
The best part? Apparently everyone who’s visited the house since the transformation, has walked in and said “WOW”… which is exactly why that was the message on top of the cake.
Moments like this make all the hard work worthwhile. We’re incredibly grateful for the trust our clients place in us and proud to create spaces that leave a lasting impression.

Last Tuesday - March 5th, the continuation of the Culmex ‘value proposition’ took place with the latest of our 2026 legislative CPD seminars.
Eight delegates from Acorus Planning & Design in Clyst St. George near Exeter attended our deep dive into Future Homes Standards, Future Buildings Standards, New planning processes and a review of the Government (Social Value) TOMS matrix all of which will directly impact our industry in 2026.
A highly interactive and enjoyable session enabled wider discussion on the Acorus specialisms with the NFU and its rural building conversion, and delegates were CPD certificated for sixty minutes attendance.
Next up, SRA Architects in Wells who have Devon expansion plans themselves, well aligned with the Culmex Growth strategy for 26/27.

Tara oversees the entire social media process from start to finish – from planning and capturing content on-site, to editing and publishing it across our multiple channels. She regularly visits active construction and scaffolding sites to gather real, behind-the-scenes footage and imagery, giving audiences an authentic look at the team’s work and the progress of ongoing projects. This hands-on approach allows her to highlight the skill, precision, and dedication that define Culmex.
Outside of her work, Tara has a passion for beauty and makeup influencing, where she enjoys expressing her creativity in a different way. Whether experimenting with new looks or keeping up with the latest trends, this interest complements her creative role within the company.
Tara values spending quality time with her family. She especially enjoys being outdoors, whether that’s attending motorsport events, using the quads and bikes on their land or taking part in other outdoor activities.

We’re excited to share that this impressive 4-bedroom property, located within touching distance of Exeter city centre, is now fully plastered and ready for the next stage - decorating!
Seeing the transformation at this stage really brings the project to life, with clean lines and a fresh canvas set for the finishing touches.
Due to the size and scale of the property, the decorating phase will take some time to complete to the high standard we’re aiming for, but it will absolutely be worth the wait 🙌

Yesterday, we hosted an architect CPD seminar at Kendall Kingscott in Exeter, bringing together ten engaged delegates to explore the evolving landscape of 2026 construction regulations and the emerging opportunities within the healthcare sector.
In a market that continues to test resilience across the built environment, the session focused not just on legislative change, but on something arguably more important: how we work together.
Culmex is differentiating by investing time into the SW architectural community and there will be three more seminars to follow in next month.

The occasion provided a valuable opportunity to showcase our work, discuss the evolving challenges within the construction industry, and highlight exciting plans for future expansion.
Her time at Culmex reflected a shared interest in strengthening relationships between policymakers and small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), ensuring that local voices are heard and supported.
Managing Director Mat Winterborne, welcomed Racheal and led discussions throughout the visit.
From the outset, the atmosphere was both professional and personable, reflecting Culmex’s culture as a growing, forward-thinking business rooted in strong relationships.
