🚜✨ A truly special guest is joining us at the Show this year…
We’re delighted to welcome 94-year-old Malcolm Batten from Saltash to the Devon County Show on Thursday 21 May — marking his 80th visit across his lifetime!
Malcolm first came as a child during WWII evacuation and remembers being completely captivated by the shire horses & dairy cows💛 From that day on, the Show became a lifelong tradition.
This year, we’re honouring his incredible connection to the Show with some unforgettable moments:
👑 A meeting with HRH The Duchess of Edinburgh
🎂 A bespoke cake inspired by his beloved RAF jeep (which he still drives!)
🚜 A celebratory lap of the Main Ring in a vintage tractor
