The open call for KNOTS iii is now live! As a volunteer-run event, we are supported by welcoming spaces and are grateful for every artist who participates. Our aim is to dismantle hierarchical barriers and invite developing noise and sound artists to apply with openness to collaborate across various disciplines, and create work that promotes anti-fascism and class-consciousness. Let’s improve how the art sector engages with activism in a way that directly benefits our community through funding direct action. Applications close June 7th and link is in our bio!

my song PUSH is out, here is another part of the the videos @simon_spx and i filmed in glasgow last september. things are looking up. still reeling from the incredible sense of pride, gratitude and hope that knots ii instilled in me last night (more on that soon...). i didn't know whether to just pause all music and creativity after what happened to me a month ago with the att@ck but i am so glad i pushed on through. partly inspired by a clip of @arca1000000 saying sometimes in your lowest moments you just need to open a DAW and for me that was great advice. i am still healing, physically and mentally but everyday is a new day and spring is coming! so here is that song that i didn't cancel the rollout for, and i am still working on my project Cityfruit. #electronicmusic #musicvideo #queermusic #arca #experimentalmusic

My new 'PUSH' is out now. This forms an early piece of a larger project I am working on called Cityfruit. Push is about shame and self-disgust and ignoring those feelings in pursuit of instant gratification. I wanted this song to be as noisy as possible, it started out with the scattered drum pattern and everything was built upon that. I enjoy the contrast between completely squashed synths to cavernous drums. KNOTS: ICE Out! will be fundraising for the Immigrant Defense Network in Minnesota, which supports over 90 immigrant, labor, legal, faith, and community organizations dedicated to protecting and advancing the constitutional rights of immigrant communities. @immigrantdefensenetwork We are urgently fundraising for them after the recent surge of ICE agents in Minneapolis, and the killings of Reene Good and Alex Pretti. The second Trump administration has been equipped with unprecedented power given by a Republican-filled Supreme Court, backed by Silicon Valley’s tech giants, and empowered by politicians who bend at the knee of capital. The victims of this second administration span political beliefs, race, and even countries, attacking the working-class and impoverished the most. As a scapegoat for an imperialist country in decline, this administration has targeted our immigrant neighbours. A rhetoric which has spread across establishment parties to appease ever growing ethno nationalist and fascist movements in the U.S. and Europe. We must reject the notion that anti-immigrant rhetoric is based in anything but racism. KNOTS invites activists, organisers, poets, writers, playwrights, movement artists, and more to collaborate with noise and sound artists to share work that advocates hope, resistance, frustration, and encourages us all to learn from lived experiences.
