These are some of the most common questions I get from brides when they’re booking: “Can you do makeup on my mom?” “Do you work with mature skin?” “Can you make her look younger?” “Can you remove wrinkles with makeup?” “Can she do a trial? She’s a little nervous…” So I wanted to take a moment to answer all of that honestly 🤍 I don’t often share content of moms or bridesmaids, not because I don’t love working with them (I absolutely do!), but because wedding mornings are usually very tight on time. When I do create content, I tend to prioritize the bride. Hopefully as I get faster and more comfortable, I’ll be able to share more of everyone. Now, let’s get into it: YES, I absolutely work with mature skin and moms. Can I make her look younger?Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Makeup can enhance and refresh, like softly filling in brows, which can make a huge difference since we naturally lose brow hair over time. Small details like that can really bring back structure and brightness to the face. Can I remove wrinkles?That’s a hard no. I’m a makeup artist, not a magician or a surgeon, and I definitely don’t do Botox. What I can do is work with the skin to create a smooth, radiant, and flattering finish that still looks like her, just elevated. And yes, trials are always welcome, especially if she’s feeling unsure.
