On Tuesday, May 7, 2024 we were so excited to celebrate *98* outstanding students as they participated in #SKILLSUSANationalSigningDay
These students collectively signed, symbolic letters of intent for over 40 different employers, unions, technical and trade programs, and branches of the US military. These students are ready to make an impact in our community on day one following graduation and we couldn’t be more proud of them! #WeDoThatHere

Today is the last day of the research/data collection phase for CASE Agriculture student Izzy Hickman’s senior project. We’re all a little sad to say goodbye to our little fluffballs as they head back to the breeder who they are on loan from as we have all grown pretty attached, but, great job Izzy raising them from newborns to be these healthy creatures. You’re well on your way to a successful career in veterinary science. We can’t wait to see your presentation about everything you’ve learned about the impacts of various feeds on their development.
For any rising JUNIORS out there (current sophomores), we have just a few spaces left in next year’s CASE class! If this looks interesting to you, reach out to your school counselor TODAY or submit an enrollment form: http://cta.calvertnet.k12.md.us/admissions

Elves in Network Wonderland: A Holiday Story by the CTA Cisco Networking & Cybersecurity program!
While the juniors were learning English first thing in the morning, Otto St. Pierre Francisco III the Elf (known to friends as OSPFv3) visited the senior networking class to learn about network address translation.
After learning in Mr Cherry's class how to configure routers, Otto St Pierre Francisco, III (AKA OSPFv3) was so excited to share his knowledge with the juniors. The problem was that the juniors were taking a test. Ms Burns tried to explain to OSPFv3 that helping and sharing information would be considered cheating. But, every time Ms Burns turned around, he was helping another student. OSPFv3 even tried to complete the test for a student who went to the bathroom! This resulted in OSPFv3 being sent out until the test was over.
After serving time in elf jail for cheating and learning bad habits from the juniors, Otto St Pierre Francisco III decide to take up photography. Realizing that it wasn't a fulfilling career choice for him, he decide to dig in deeper and learn about networking from the seniors. He then went off to visit the juniors with a renewed spirit.
OSPFv3 respectfully sat and observed as the juniors in the afternoon completed their exams before retiring to the cloud for a well earned nap.
