Children’s Rights and Violence Prevention Fund (CRVPF) participated in this year’s @mastercardfoundation community Week 2026. The discussions highlighted the importance of building partnerships rooted in trust, amplifying youth voices, and creating impact grounded in local realities. Conversations emphasized that young people are not just beneficiaries, but leaders of change, and that lasting impact is created through collaboration and evidence-based solutions. During the panel discussion on trust-based partnerships, speakers including Dr. Mwalimu Musheshe (URDT), Dr. Gudula Basaza (GLF), and Stephen Muhangi (GOAL Uganda) shared valuable insights on co-creation, continuous engagement, and honest conversations as key drivers of meaningful partnerships and sustainable impact. At CRVPF, we are inspired by the shared commitment to strengthening partnerships that empower communities and create lasting change for children and young people. #CRVPF #CommunityWeek2026 #YoungAfricaWorks

Meet the Young Mothers Consortium. 💛 A bold initiative across Kenya, Mozambique, and Tanzania that doesn’t just “empower” young mothers — it places them at the centre of power, grant decision-making, and storytelling. Because help is not enough. Real change happens when young mothers shape the priorities, lead the advocacy, and direct the resources themselves. Supported by the @hiltonfoundation and implemented by @crifund1 , @crvpf , @irisstoryforimpact and @wearepurposeful_org — in partnership with community-based organisations — this is what shifting power actually looks like. And with @icrw_org documenting the journey, every success, every challenge, and every impact on young mothers, their children, and their communities is being captured and counted. This is their story. Told by them. 🙌 Read the full report now! (Link in bio). #YoungMothers #ShiftingNarrativesBuildingPower #YoungMothersConsortium

This Mother’s Day, we celebrate young mothers not only for the care they give, but for the power, leadership, and resilience they carry every day. 💛 As part of the @hiltonfoundation Young Mothers Consortium, @crvpf was proud to see young mothers and community partners represented at the #womensdeliver2026 Conference, bringing global attention to the realities, challenges, and strengths of adolescent mothers across our communities. Through the Young Mothers Project implemented in Kenya and Tanzania, CRVPF works alongside young mothers to create safe spaces for healing, learning, leadership, and economic empowerment. The project is grounded in a simple but powerful belief: young mothers are not passive recipients of support, but active agents of change in their own lives and communities. At Women Deliver 2026, Fausta from Jamii Yetu represented community voices in conversations around power-building interventions in vulnerable communities such as Arusha, sharing reflections on how storytelling, collective care, and community-led approaches are helping shift harmful norms and create new possibilities for young mothers. Yesterday was Mother’s Day, but we continue to honor young mothers whose courage and determination inspire change far beyond their own journeys. 🌍✨ #crvpf Photo credit: @hiltonfoundation

We took a pause last week and stepped away from the day to day. At @brovad_sands , the @crvpf team came together not just as colleagues, but as people. We listened, reflected, challenged ourselves, and grew With guidance from Lantern Consulting, we strengthened how we show up for each other and for the communities we serve We return more aligned, more connected, and even more committed to preventing violence against children and young people and creating safe & dignified employment opportunities. 💛 #crvpf #empoweringyouththroughdataandcommunitydevelopment #teamretreat

We are live in Jinja! @mastercardfoundation , alongside @heifer_uganda , is convening the #YoungAfricaWorks 2026 Dialogue, Uganda (March 30–31, 2026) to spotlight how agrifood systems can unlock dignified and fulfilling work for young people. Bringing together young people, partners, government, and private sector actors, the Dialogue is focused on strengthening Uganda’s agrifood ecosystem creating real opportunities in agribusiness by tackling barriers in finance, markets, skills, and access to productive resources, while driving stronger collaboration across the board. And we love to see it, our Empowering Youth through Data and Community Development (EYDCD) program partners, Goshen Foundation for Nutrition and Health, are featured on the main banner, showcasing the incredible work young people are doing in bakery and nutrition. A strong message echoed throughout: young people are not rejecting agriculture, they are rejecting systems that expect them to produce without consistent support or mentorship. Seeing incubation hubs like Goshen in action was a powerful reminder that with the right guidance, young people can truly thrive. #YoungAfricaWorks #YouthInAgric2026 #CRVPF

In celebration of #International Women’s Day, a community field in Kyebando, Kampala transformed into a vibrant runway during the Pakasa Art & Fashion Showcase. Led by Joanna Nabagesera, founder of Lulungi Couture and an alumna of the Empowering Youth through Data and Community Development (EYDCD) program supported by @crvpf , the showcase highlighted young creative talent. Joanna received early training and mentorship through @sanyuarts , a community organization that strengthens the power of young creatives through artistic training, entrepreneurship support, and life-skills development. The event also featured an Inclusion Panel with Tonny Mulenzi from @LightfortheWorldUganda and young entrepreneurs Hajara Asiimwe and Priscilla Kirabo. The discussion emphasized the importance of creating spaces where all young people, including persons with disabilities, can access opportunities, showcase their talents, and build sustainable livelihoods. Several designs were sold during the showcase, and young designers have already begun receiving inquiries about their collections. This is a strong example of what happens when community talent is supported and given space to grow. #YoungAfricaWorks #InclusiveCommunities #CRVPF #empoweringyouththroughdataandcommunitydevelopment

Day 5 | #internationalwomensday Series Today we are spotlighting Joanita (Joanna) Nabagesera. ✨ We first met Joanna when she joined the #empoweringyouththroughdataandcommunitydevelopment (#eydcd ) program. It was through the program that she learned fashion design and tailoring, discovering a talent that would shape her future. Determined to grow her craft, Joanna continued building her skills and today she is the founder of @lulungi_couture , where she designs stunning wedding gowns, supplies school uniforms, and trains women across the continent so they can earn their own income through fashion. Now Joanna is giving back to her community. On Saturday, 14 March 2026, she will be hosting a Community Fashion Show bringing together young designers, entrepreneurs, and creatives to showcase their talent and celebrate African fashion. Several other designers will also be showcasing their work. Come out and support these incredible creatives, celebrate women entrepreneurs, and be part of the movement empowering young people to build their futures. Let’s show up and show our support! ✨ #crvpf
