Rebuilding Health Care from the Box Up.
As leaders at the intersection of fitness and medicine, Dr. Tom McCoy and Jenn Pishko are driving a global movement to change how we think about healthcare.
Together, the co-founders of the CrossFit Medical Society are working to place the affiliate at the center of a new health ecosystem — one that replaces fragmented, reactive care with proactive, community-based solutions right where people train and connect.
At the 2026 CrossFit Owners and Coaches Conference, this powerhouse duo is bringing a unique combination of clinical and operational expertise to the stage.
Dr. McCoy is dual board-certified in Family Medicine and Obesity Medicine, while Jenn brings a master’s degree in nutrition education alongside over a decade of experience as a CrossFit affiliate owner.
During the conference, they will outline a practical roadmap for integrating diagnostics, metabolic assessments, and clinician collaboration directly into the affiliate environment—showing owners how to build high-trust community health hubs and unlock new revenue without losing their identity.
👀 About the conference: This event is designed to provide affiliate owners and coaches with actionable skills and direct mentorship rather than abstract theory. Our focus is on raising the standard of service inside your gym through hands-on learning.
Join your peers for two days of collaboration alongside the 2026 CrossFit Games.

The Hero workout is more than a test of physical ability. It bridges the gap between the body and the mind, emotion and experience, and gives us the chance to do more than just remember our soldiers. It gives us the chance to sweat, bleed, suffer, and grieve for our fallen heroes one rep at a time.

Rope Climb OR Bar Muscle Up?! 💪🏼
This started as a simple rope climb drill I use to teach athletes how to hook their feet on the rope, but I realized that if you can get your feet high enough, it also doubles as a great bar muscle-up drill.
Getting your feet up that high on the rope leads to a very efficient rope climb!

Intensity is necessary to produce results, but it looks different for every athlete; appropriate intensity is scaled to ability, goals, and recovery so that effort drives progress without compromising form.
Our approach to introducing new athletes follows a clear progression: Mechanics, Consistency, then Intensity.
Once mechanics are established, consistency becomes the foundation for meaningful improvement — both in mastering the technical details of a movement and in reproducing that technique reliably across repetitions and training sessions.
Steady commitment and deliberate effort over time remain the determinants of lasting improvement.

Using progressions for complex, challenging movements like handstand push-ups makes the learning fun and less daunting.
These progressions fit perfectly into your warm-up.
Add a coach who guides you every step along the way, and you’ll be amazed at the skills you can master.
A little tweak in the hand position here and a little tweak in the foot position there makes all the difference.

Fourteen years ago, I walked into a Level 1 Course in San Diego looking for answers. I had no idea that weekend would completely change my life.
Since then, this journey has taken me through thousands of classes coached, seminars taught, communities built, athletes coached, friendships created, struggles, lessons learned, growth, and countless hours dedicated to becoming better at serving people through CrossFit.
The CF-L4 is not the end of that journey. It’s a reminder of the responsibility we carry as coaches.
We are entrusted with people’s health, confidence, and lives. That responsibility deserves preparation, humility, and an endless pursuit of excellence.
To everyone who has been part of this journey — my family, athletes, friends, mentors, staff teammates, and specially @punkcrossfit community — thank you. This is for you 🧡
