In numerology, a “9 year” is the final year of a nine-year cycle. 2025 was a 9 year (2+0+2+5=9). It’s the wrap-up phase. It's all about endings, release, closure, and clearing out anything that’s run its course so the next cycle can begin. It’s less about starting new things and more about finishing, letting go, and being honest about what no longer fits.
It has a way of forcing truth to the surface. Relationships that were held together by comfort, habit, fear, or “potential” tend to crack, because the year doesn’t support pretending or delaying the inevitable. If something isn’t aligned, it becomes exhausting to maintain.
