Cannot believe the weekend is over. Little photie dump of my shenanigans. @krugertertia and I celebrated her birthday at one of our favourite hangouts. Check out the biltong-eating bee. Then @jodyhendricks1 and I dinner with our dear friends @charlzdg18 and Norms at our hotspot for some Korean food 😋. Saturday was a buzz with @marlwijk who came for a sleepover. @eben.jansen made the best crayfish curry 😋. Sunday my sister @conniekannemeyer and hubby came from mossel bay, so nephew @cody_773 and of course @domingo.claudia joined for lunch. I made oxtail and cheesecake, but the highlight was my first, and may I say successful attempt to make curd. I even used pulp from our own granadilla tree. My hart en my magie is vol, julle 🤗

Throwback because it’s Thursday. Had a bunch of the best over last week when Terrance came to visit from Jhb en @karismatiek vlieg toe ook in van Kuilsrivier. @lindsayasmit and Shaun came all the way from Gordons Bay to indulge in some crayfish braaied by @jodyhendricks1 and salad for lunch and some good old canned fruit and Ideal Milk for dessert… yummy 😋. Oh and the random leaves are from our salad and herb garden 🪴 . Beautiful afternoon with awesome friends 😍
Starting the new year surrounded by mountains, sunshine, and some of our favourite people. @jodyhendricks1 and I spent Sunday at Cape Point Wine Estate, soaking up the beautiful weather and sharing a picnic with our friends @wandering.alleykat and @matsheath .
The views were unreal; from the vineyards stretching across the hills to the incredible sight of Noordhoek Beach glistening below. There’s something magical about seeing the ocean from the mountains…die Kaap bly maar mooi. Getting to catch up with Ali and Mat, well, nothing beats a good kuier with good friends with beautiful surroundings. Great way to start the year.
Closed out 2025 exactly how I wanted with great friends, and endless fun.
Spent the evening with my bestie @olive.s.1920 visiting from the Netherlands! The pink drinkers B and D provided entertainment with their fun sing-along sessions with @christo.snyman.75 and Cobus had us all laughing and feeling the vibes.
To make it even better, my nephew @albankanna9 popped in on New Year’s Day from Pretoria, and my niece @domingo.claudia and her family returned from their holiday just in time to join the fun.
@jodyhendricks1 and o made no fancy resolutions this time, just more moments like these in 2026.Here’s to more spontaneous plans, and making memories that feel like home.

What an unforgettable experience in the heart of Franschhoek! Surrounded by incredible people, dressed in the warm, earthy tones of bread, we shared more than just fine food. We shared stories, laughter, and made new connections, especially when we tried to identify somebody by their nickname.
From artisanal bites to beautifully curated tables, every detail spoke of elegance and community. And can we talk about the fashion? Everyone embraced the theme so creatively; just imagine rustic browns, creamy whites, and golden hues. Truly a feast for the senses! Cannot wait for the next one.

Huge cheers to @charlzdg18 and Norms for bringing together over 30 amazing people for a Christmas Eve feast @kleinalto full of great food, laughter, and new friendships. It was an incredible afternoon to remember and definitely one of the highlights of our holiday thus far!
The Secret Santa after-party was the cherry on the cake or was it trifle 🙃. Ended up with the quirkiest and cutest gifts and lots of laughs. Hope @jodyhendricks1 will use his cookbook soon
