โDisability justice advocates point out that the burden of accessibility is often pushed onto disabled people themselves โ presumed to be experts in all-encompassing access needs. How can accessibility be, instead of a specialised knowledge, a co-creative process of care?โ

Right now, after a genocide that has already taken more 11,000 Gazan lives in the span of just weeks, a new Nakba is occuring. Hundreds of thousands are traveling on foot from the North of Gaza to the South, recreating the traumas and atrocities of 1948. The people that remain in the North of Gaza are those who refuse to leave their home despite the threat of death, the sick and disabled & their families unable to make the journey, and all of the injured, catastrophically wounded, mechanical life support reliant, infants, children, and doctors trapped inside of the hospitals.
As sick, crip, chronically ill and disabled people, we know what it means to be left behind in evacuations. We know that occupation and apartheid are disabling. We cannot comprehend the suffering of those left behind and condemned to death by the inaction of the international community in the North, and all of those in Gaza, the West Bank and all occupied territories right now.
We ask the community of Rietveld and Sandberg to join this event next week.

Crip the Curriculum welcomes artists Dagmar Bosma and Sam Metz for an evening around self-stimulatory making. Dagmar Bosma will share a reading of their essay โI know when I can make something by how it feelsโ on stimming and art making. Sam Metz will introduce their ongoing research project โDrawing as Stimmingโ, and engage participants in a stimmy exercise. What if we approach art from the bodily movements inherent to its becoming, drawing focus to the sensory experience of making?

The Editorial Board of Intercurricular Programmes at the Rietveld Academie and Sandberg Instituut invites you to presentations by four research platforms stimulating interdisciplinary and trans-departmental cooperation and establishing links with actors outside the academy, through projects in which self-organisation, research and new ways of working are central.
Platforms supported by Editorial Board this year - Crip the Curriculum, Motormond, Bread Oven and Material Monopolies - invite the audience to get closer to their research inquiries in the afternoon of workshops and lectures exploring experimental forms of pedagogy and challenging the limits of existing educational structures.
Presentations will be followed by drinks and casual conversation. The audience will have the possibility to acquire recently published Extra-Intra Reader #2.
The event will be hosted by Alec Mateo.
The venue is wheelchair-accessible

MELT (Ren Loren Britton & Iz Paehr) will be hosting COUNTING FEELINGS, a two-day online workshop collectively exploring how we can use data otherwise. The workshop emerges from MELTโs arts/design research at the University of Cologne, in which they are exploring questions of how and with what intentions the experiences of marginalised groups are quantified and counted as data, and how we can use data to recount differentโor otherโstories.

Image description: On a black background is a red coloured vertical poster graphic for an upcoming online event. Titled โBlood, Guts,
& Bonesโ, the text is white in bold typography and placed towards the top left. On the very top in smaller size is a centred text in white that reads โCrip Artist Meetup #1โ. The subtitle below the title in white reads, โCrip Corporeality Beneath the Fleshโ. In the very middle is an inverted triangle in yellow outline connecting three names, Cielo Saucedo and Mae Eskenazi, who are artists in conversation with Alcide Breaux for the event. The event is scheduled on the sixth of April at 1900 CET, set in black bold typography in the bottom left. A symmetrical wire-like shape is arranged over a red collage of what resemble viscera and organic matter. On the bottom of the poster are a couple of logos, starting from the left with the CTC logo, then the instagram handle of @CripTheCurriculum in the middle and finally the logo of Extra Intra.

Crip the Curriculum is pleased to announce our next Lecture/Workshop. Left and Right: Disabled artists Jerron Herman and Molly Joyce bring artistic examples from their multi-year collaborations around the legacies of congenital and acquired disability, primarily the historical and societal implications of the body's left side.
Sharing parallels and differences in these perspectives, their works (collectively and individually) support rich storytelling using music, dance and text to connect broad themes.
