Dynamic Decompression + Rest is practice that works with gravity to relax the body. This class is for increased body awareness, a calm nervous system, and increased capacity for strength, length, engaged mobility, and joy. Utilizing the Thinking Body~The Feeling Mind Technique (TBFM), this class emphasizes range of motion, low-impact strength building, and muscle tension release through the core of the body as well as its extremities. Students can expect full body movement phrases done on the ground that encourage a sense of internal spaciousness through the spine and psoas muscles.

We are very excited for @creaturepace to begin a new six week series on Wednesday evenings, starting tomorrow night 4/22. This Mobility and Stretch series is a low-impact setting that invites participants to see the body as a collaborative system and be able to distinguish between flexibility, mobility, and strength. Class will aim is to enhance physical intelligence, increase pliability, and come away with personalized warmups for our daily lives—be it for mundane tasks or high performance activity. Expect body weight strength, interaction with the ground and chairs, as well as self massage. Drop-Ins welcome. Register at AtriumPDX.com.

Meet Trinity! @creaturepace She teaches Dynamic Rest and Decompression on Thursday evenings at 5pm. We encourage the addition of adding conscious rest to your movement practice, it is so crucial to our overall well being. Learn a little more about Trinity below! —— 1. What currently excites and interests you most about teaching movement? These days I love seeing people meet themselves again and again. I see movement as a way to get re-introduced to new strengths, systems, and places of surrender.  Also, it feels good to move with people. Building movement communities while we evolve as human beings excites me. 2. What would you like students to know about your classes and your teaching style? My teaching style often includes sci-fi sound effects, is alignment based, and then encourages freedom of movement and mobility. The technique I source from called The Thinking Body~The Feeling Mind, created by Linda Lack, Ph.D., is a modality that focuses on sacred geometry in motion in the body, and allows the musculoskeletal system to find alignment in resting position. Think grounding in motion. To me it feels like Qi Gong + Jiu Jitsu + Restorative practice together making a detailed mechanical warm up for all kinds of lifestyles.  3. What is your current favorite hobby outside of movement? Drumming and learning about percussion.
